Teams with seniors who play at a high level usually have a good chance of having a successful season. Betsey has had a good senior campaign averaging 18 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. After a win over Asheville her team has a 24-4 record where she posted 23 points, 12 rebounds, and 1 steal. She is an active guard with great size to score it over defenders on the perimeter and finish with her length in the paint. She is very skilled and crafty with the ball and she uses that to her advantage to hit tough shots. 

Betsey Burnett was awarded the Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player award.  She used her shot fakes to get around her opponents and pull up for a midrange jumper scoring even with hands in her face.  She knows how to take advantage of her defender pulling up half a step blowing by them for two at the rim.  She made sure to show off her stroke from deep even knocking down a tough one in transition.

Lucky for us Charlotteans Betsey Burnett Betsey Burnett 5'8" | CG South Meck | 2023 State NC is staying in the area committing to Johnson C Smith.  Burnett has shined as a ball handler pushing the tempo, driving hard to the hoop, and showing off her three point shot.  She leaves it all on the court on both ends even being aggressive on defense knocking the ball away from her opponents and taking steals the other direction.  She does well taking control of the game and knows how to slide over to a shooting guard position running backdoor cuts and being patient for plays to develop to make sure her team scores some points.

Betsey Burnett Betsey Burnett 5'8" | CG South Meck | 2023 State NC is a great facilitator controlling the tempo of the game, pushing the ball up the court, and making some nice bounce passes into her teammates.  Her IQ is on display knowing how to break a press with her smart passes.  Even without her other senior starting guard, she took over the game knocking down shots from deep and scoring by the rim.
