Murchinson finishes around the rim for her team. She has fantastic speed and can turn a corner and get downhill in the offense. In transition, Murchinson can score with speed or set her teammates up in a 2 on 1 situation. On defense, she is disruptive. Murchinson will forces steals with her on-ball pressure or create turnovers with her help-side defense.

Jahriell Murchison is a rising senior at E.E. Smith High School. She is an explosive guard who can score in multiple ways in the paint. In her junior season, she averaged over 12 points per game. However, Murchison impacted the game in many more ways than offense. She is also an elite passer and a tremendous rebounder from the guard position. Murchison is ready for a huge summer on the court for the Carolina All Stars.

Speed, speed, speed. The junior is one of the fastest guard you will see play basketball in this state. She can flat out fly and can beat everyone down the floor. Her speed in transition makes her very difficult to guard in the open floor. She has a lightening quick first step and will use it to blow by defenders to attack the rim. She is a very good shooter and has a nice quick release on her shot. Quick and decisive in her decision making and she really makes her defenders think about her next move. Her defensive quickness allows her to beat defenders to their spots and she does a great jobs of using her hands to deflect passes and poke the ball out of her opponent’s hands. Jahriell has a very high motor and someone that can be an asset to a program at the next level.

Jahriell is a versatile guard who has good size that gives defenders trouble on the perimeter. She attack gaps well, created for teammates at times, and gave effort on the boards. She scored 19 points and grabbed 6 rebounds to help get the win and move on to the next round.
