Anastasia was one, if not the biggest factor in South Meck moving on to the next round against Asheville. She had her finger prints all over the game with her energy, decision making, and defensive intensity. She scored 17 points attacking the basket with her quick first step, which got her opportunities at the free throw line where she went 5-6. She dished out a team high 11 assists, makes the extra effort to find her teammates and puts them in position to be successful. UNCP can trust that good things happen with then ball in her hands. 

Anastasia Sinclair certainly left it all out on the court Tuesday night against Western Guilford.  The future UNC Pembroke athlete has a high motor attacking the basket whether she is finishing at the rim herself or penetrating the paint to open up the court for her teammates.  She is constantly moving on the court finding the gaps on defense and crashing the boards for rebounds even getting double digits in rebounds in round 1.  Her ability to use her stellar defense to create her own offensive possessions and fast break points is sure to continue in South Meck’s playoff run.  The Lady Sabres will be hosting Asheville on Thursday.

Anastasia Sinclair came right out grabbing steals like her usual M.O.  She pushed it up the court finding her open teammate for a transition three pointer.  She is aggressive attacking the basket making points herself or dishing it to her teammates.  She does it all getting inside for rebounds going up high to grab them no matter who is around her.  Her crossover continues to be efficient getting her opponents off their stance and creates an opening for her to score.

Heading out east to UNC Pembroke is a high motor guard in Anastasia Sinclair Anastasia Sinclair 5'7" | CG South Mecklenburg | 2023 State NC .  She plays tough on both ends of the court driving hard to the hoop finishing at the rim, and she can strip the ball from her opponents grabbing a steal over and over in every game that she plays.  She has great vision on the court finding her open teammates and appearing to be a step ahead of her opponents knowing how a play is supposed to develop and where she needs to be getting the ball.  We are certainly excited that a NC school has picked her up, so we can continue to see her thrive at the next level.
