<p>With the first day of the state class b tournament in book let's take a look at those advancing to the semi-finals. </p>

<p>In the first matchup of the day we had Garrison vs. Kenmare/Bowbells. The first half was a deadlock at 20, but Garrison quickly gained momentum in the second half outscoring Kenmare/Bowbells by 17 in the third quarter. The Troopers would hang on and win 45-33. [player_tooltip player_id='249942' first='Mia' last='Gehring'] leading all scorers with 16 points.</p>

<p>Second matchup of the day we saw Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier take on #1 ranked Thompson. EKM kept it close in first half, but the heavy hitting Tommies slowly pulled away with a 13 point half time lead. In the end The Tommies cruised passed the Rebels 66-43 with [player_tooltip player_id='342171' first='Addison' last='Sage'] leading all scorers with 20 points. </p>

<p>The third matchup of the day was back and forth for a while with Rugby leading most of the first quarter, but the Cardinals made a surge in the second half to take a 27-26 half time lead. That lead didn't last long as the Panthers came out hot in the second half and cruised to a 67-48 win over the Cardinals. The Panthers were lead by [player_tooltip player_id='211404' first='Mykell' last='Heidlebaugh'] and Joey Wolf who both had 16 points. </p>

<p>The last matchup of the day wasn't a close one by any means. The Squirrels of Central Cass came out and took care of business against Bowman County. Bowman shot 5-20 from the field in the first half and couldn't find the net for most of the second. The Squirrels cruised to a 61-28 route. [player_tooltip player_id='100457' first='Klaire' last='Cotton'] and Decontee Smith combined to score 40 in the win. </p>
