2030 Rankings Release - First Look 11-15

Class of 2030 - welcome! I was able to get eyes on 15 girls that were all big-time varsity contributors as 8th graders. The talent level of some of these young players is incredible to see and will be a lot of fun to watch as they grow in their high school careers. Here are girls 11-15!   <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/dakotas/rankings/north-dakota-rankings/2030-rankings/">FULL 2030 RANKINGS - CLICK ME!</a>    Isabel started this season for Surrey as an 8th grader.  She is a smaller guard but isn't afraid to compete with the older girls.  Her quickness in transition is very impressive.  I also like her quick first step and how it allows her to get past primary defenders.  She can shoot the three and has a quick release.  Her defense is fundamentally sound for such a young player.  She gets to help side, bumps cutters, and defends without fouling.     Trapper played significant minutes on the varsity as an eighth grader. She is a lefty who is tough going to her strong hand. She has a very quick first step and reads primary defenders well. The Mavericks like to put Ackerson into ball-screen action where she thrives. She plays with good pace and can attack the basket or throw the pocket-pass to the roller. She has a good shooting form with a nice release. Trapper should be a multi-year All-District and All-Region selection in the future.     West is going to be a very good high school basketball player. She gained valuable experience this season on a Nedrose team that went 8-12. This is to be expected from a squad that only had 1 senior. West is going to lead Nedrose to a significant increase in wins next season. She is a very athletic guard who is just scratching the surface of how good she can be. She glides up and down the court and is already a very effective defender. She will be a menace on the offensive end as well with continued work in the offseason.     Ary Schaefer was selected as an All-District player this season. She had to step into a bigger role quicker than maybe anticipated due to a key teammate being unable to play because of injury. Schaefer is a quick guard who competes hard. She is a very good ball-handler and is going to make it very difficult to press Langdon in the future. Her decision making is excellent with the rock. The most impressive part of her game is her shooting ability. She is a flame-thrower and is just getting started with her scoring ability.     Jones is another All-District selection in this group of girls. She has a high ceiling due to her 6' frame at such a young age. She uses her size and strength well around the basket and is able to get good position for scoring and rebounding. She has good footwork which shows that she has began to learn the importance and connection between footwork and good post play. Gaining experience at a young age and earning an All-District selection this season points to Mila's potential as a prospect.
