Kadence is already a very good high school player. She is another player who has finished her second year of varsity action. She is the Jaguars' best player and received a lot of attention from opposing defenses throughout the season. Husar is a long guard with good speed and change of pace. She is great in transition and knows when to finish at the basket and when to pass to her teammates. She is a good outside shooter and has really good arc on her shot. She can shoot the three off the bounce as well as drive-and-kick scenarios.

Piper the sniper (give me credit when this nickname catches on!), set the school record for most made three-pointers this season with 54. She shot the deep ball at 32%, a respectable number for a young high school player. I anticipate her shooting percentage will increase as she grows throughout high school. Shooting the three isn't all Piper can do. She is Wahpeton's primary ball-handler and is good off the bounce. She is a good athlete and competes hard. The All-Region selection averaged 14.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 2.1 steals per game this season.

Coty's height and athletic ability puts her near the top of the 2030 rankings. She will possess Division 1 size and athletic ability in the very near future (one could argue she already has it!). She played in 25 of the Hawks' 27 games and averaged 3.2 points per game on 62% shooting. Scoring was not her role this season, but that doesn't mean she isn't capable. Look for increased production in years to come. She is an excellent defender and alters and blocks shots without fouling. Older sister Jordan has set a great example of what it takes to be great. Coty has every foundational piece to be exceptional.

It was a close finish to see who would go 1-2 in the first round of rankings between Lily and Jaya. I walked past Lily at Sanford AAU practice last weekend and was eye level with her, maybe even a tad shorter than her. She is a true 6'3+ and looks like she is still growing. Her mom is a 6'5 former WNBA player, Iowa State Cyclone, and Shanley great - so the genes run in the family. Lily finished the season averaging nearly a double-double (stats are only updated through 15 games), and shot the ball 52% from the field and 70% from the free-throw line. Lily is a big-time prospect and can expect Division 1 schools to call her very quickly this AAU season.

Jaya starts the 2030 rankings as the #1 ranked player in the state of North Dakota. She is a second year varsity player for the Deacons and had an incredible year in 2025-2026. She finished the year averaging 17.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, earning her a spot on the All-EDC team. Her 17.1 points are good for top 5 in the EDC and top 15 in the state, with nearly every girl ahead of her being at least two years older and seven girls being Division 1 prospects and five being Division 2 prospects. Taylor plays with great energy and effort. She is one of the quickest players in the state and is incredibly skilled. She is very good at getting to the basket and can finish in very creative ways, often finishing through contact and getting to the free-throw line for And-1 opportunities. I am excited to see how the Spring and Summer AAU seasons treat Jaya.
