It was an exciting filled arena with fans from all over spectating their favorite teams. In the big matchup we had Central Cass taking on top seeded Thompson. The first half was everything that you'd expect from a championship caliber match. The Tommie's lead 25-23 at half. Both teams struggled throughout finding their offense as this quickly became a defensive minded matchup. Decontee Smith lead all scorers with 14 points and 7 rebounds while [player_tooltip player_id='342171' first='Addison' last='Sage'] lead the Tommie's with 8 points.

The second half really lived up to the expectations from both these electric teams as the Squirrels took a late 4th quarter lead, but not before [player_tooltip player_id='211417' first='Olivia' last='Dick'] stepped in and hit a buzzer beating 3 to send the game to overtime dead locked at 49. Despite the heroic effort the Squirrels maintained and pushed forward with Decontee Smith's dominant 25 point 17 rebound performance holding off the Panthers to take this years crown in a down to the wire finish 58-55.
