The annual Ballers Classic took place on March 25th at Cape Henelon High School in Lewes, Delaware. The main event of the day was a matchup of Delaware's top players against some of Maryland's top talent.

The game turned out to be a competitive, fast paced affair that came down to the last couple of possessions. The Delaware squad pulled off a 64-60 win over Maryland.

Ericka Huggins, Delaware, 2024, St. Elizabeth High

Ericka is a long and wiry wing with a killer mid range game. She has a nice handle and good first step and uses hang time and a nice bag of floaters and pull ups to get buckets. She has a good feel for the game and does not allow defenders to speed her up.

Jezelle "GG" Banks, Delaware, 2027, Ursuline

Jezelle was an unstoppable force in this game, showing composure and skill beyond her years. She rained three points shots on defenders and used her ball handling skills to get into the lane at will. She's a great finisher and decision maker so she had the Maryland squad on their heels all day. Looking forward to watching this 8th grader grow as a high school player.

[player_tooltip player_id='142830' first='Aryss' last='Macktoon'], MD, 2023, St. Timothy's

Aryss showed off her full package in this one. She was a force on defense all day, coming up with steals and rebounds while also applying strong on ball pressure. On offense she got to the rim and hit some mid range jumpers on her way to 20 points. She is headed to Lasalle.

[player_tooltip player_id='293244' first='Lourden' last='Banks'], MD, 2023, St. Mary's Ryken

Lourden was a strong two-way contributor and picked up some interest from a D1 scout in attendance. Her length and versatility helped keep Maryland in the game as she defended well, handled the ball and crashed the boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='163864' first='Gabrielle' last='Kennerly'], MD, 2023, Howard

Fresh off a successful state championship run and some post season accolades, G2 showed up and balled out. The Mt. Saint Mary's recruit scored 20 points in a variety of ways to keep her team in it until the final buzzer.
