And the winner is? (Drum roll please….) Last night at the Murphy Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, the 2022–2023 Miss Tennessee Basketball winners were announced. These young ladies, who were chosen to represent the state, did so by playing the game with love heart, passion, tenacity, and they can just flat out play. The girls that were selected as finalists from their prospective classes did so from a pool of young ladies, who also are so very talented. No one who was selected as a winner won it by landslide.

This year was such a rewarding year in so many ways for so many people. From newbies taking down the nets to the continuation of dynasties, different clubs from all over the state in each division took home the gold ball and wrote a legacy for themselves that will be talked about for years to come. This season was so special and it's just the beginning of more greatness to come. Miss Tennessee represents so many things. Yes these girls got it done in the classroom, but when it comes to the game of basketball, when their number was called they delivered. These girls were fearless, gym rats, who laid it all out on the line every single time they took the hardwood. These were some very talented girls who rose to the top.

Each of these girls are special and have a different skill set that they bringt to the table. From slashing to the paint to knocking down threes from long distance to being an anchor in the painted area to playing ferocious defense. The most important characteristic each of them shared was that they are all finishers. When you look at this list, you will see young ladies that will go on not just leaving their mark on the high school basketball platform, but also make an immediate impact on the collegiate game moving forward.
