That game came down to who scored the last bucket.
This game seemed different. There was a focus on the Vikings’ players showing their determination to end the season for Lake Norman. This time, they had their full court threat back from injury with Dearia Page Dearia Page 5'5" | SG North Mecklenburg | 2023 NC returning to the starting lineup.
Lake Norman scored the first points with an old-fashioned three point play from Kelsey Rhyne Kelsey Rhyne 5'10" | SG Lake Norman | 2026 State NC . North Meck then began their scoring and proceeded to lead most of the first half leading by 5 at halftime. Returning from the half, Lake Norman was able to close the gap tying it up going into the fourth quarter.
Ultimately, Kirsten Lewis-Williams Kirsten Lewis-Williams 5'10" | CG Lake Norman | 2023 State NC , Kelsey Rhyne Kelsey Rhyne 5'10" | SG Lake Norman | 2026 State NC , and Samantha Shehan Samantha Shehan 6'0" | CG Lake Norman | 2025 State NC took over in the fourth quarter scoring 22 points outlasting the Vikings who scored 15.

Kirsten Lewis-Williams Kirsten Lewis-Williams 5’10” | CG Lake Norman | 2023 State NC continues to be a cheat code for her team. Even though I am sure that teams know that she will do her signature spin move to get some points, she still remains unstoppable getting to the basket to put up her shot. She showed off her athleticism hustling back on defense grabbing a nice block in transition. She’s so tough driving to the basket embracing contact and going up for her shot. No matter how close the game is, she continues to execute the things that she excels at.

Kelsey Rhyne Kelsey Rhyne 5’10” | SG Lake Norman | 2026 State NC started the scoring making an old fashioned three point play after her aggressive drive to the hoop. She crashes the boards going after rebounds on both ends staying ready to put up offensive rebounds for some points. The lefty does a nice job attacking gaps with the ball going to the hoop. She ran a beautiful pick and roll play scoring in the paint off the pass from her teammate. She went 6 for 6 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter helping to seal the victory for her team.

Samantha Shehan Samantha Shehan 6’0″ | CG Lake Norman | 2025 State NC showed off her range shooting the ball hitting the only three pointer in the entire game. She has phenomenal spin moves she uses in the paint to lose her defender and score some points. She was inside grabbing rebounds on both ends of the court. Her ability to make 4 of 4 free throws to end the game was crucial to secure the victory.
Highlights
Addison Sirianni was tough on defense stripping the ball from her opponents and taking it all the way to the other end for some points. She jumped in front of passes deflecting them preventing her opponents from getting plays started. She was aggressive getting inside for rebounds on both ends of the court, and she had an awareness of finding her teammates ready to put the ball back up through the hoop.

Now, let’s see the standouts for the North Meck Vikings.
Kairah Dixon Booker was the leading scorer for the Vikings making sure she left it all out on the court in her final game of high school. She is aggressive in the paint going after rebounds and putting up shots. She drives hard to the hoop no matter what contact may be there for her. She does a little bit of everything for her team handling the ball, rebounding, and knocking down shots. She was nice on defense stripping the ball and blocking shots.
Nevaeh Farmer Nevaeh Farmer 5’4″ | PG North Mecklenburg | 2023 State NC was showing off her handles and quickness driving to the hoop to open up the block for her teammates making the dish. She didn’t always need to make the pass as she can easily roll the ball off her fingertips finishing at the rim herself for some points. She was constantly inside battling for rebounds, and she had some nice offensive boards to get her points.

Boston Bates
Boston Bates was an excellent on ball defender and used her aggressiveness on the other end to drive hard to the hoop. She did a nice job attacking the basket earning some old fashioned three point plays. She has a nice finish at the rim adjusting on her way up to score some points.
Dearia Page Dearia Page 5’5″ | SG North Mecklenburg | 2023 NC has been a welcomed return for the Vikings coming back from injury. She had a nice pull up jumper knowing how to create space for the open look. She snuck inside for the pass and points. Her lateral movements on defense and constant outstretched hands were certainly a nuisance for her opponents trying to get by her.
