The 2025 rankings class update was released a few days ago. Movement in rankings should always be expected and among the moves have been three players whose stock has risen into or within the top 20. Two even join the top 10.

[player_tooltip player_id='192842' first='Skylar' last='Pierce'], 6'0", PF, Olathe Northwest - If she was not already committed to play volleyball, regarded as the #1 recruit in the nation, at Nebraska Pierce would no doubt also be a highly sought basketball prospect. The southpaw's move up from #20 to #6 reflects her strong and still growing game. The school record holder in blocked shots, she she is terrific around the boards due to her vertical; length; and quickness at which she jumps. Pierce has a very quick first step and finishes finish with speed with either hand. She has athleticism to score the reverse layup and is fast with good vision in the transition game. Pierce earned Sunflower League honorable mention after her freshman year and second team honors last season.

[player_tooltip player_id='430812' first='Azailah' last='Funches'], 5'11", CG, Shawnee Mission South - Upon transferring in from Lone Jack (MO) Funches debuted at #21 in the last class update. She steps into #8 after a big season with the Raiders. Her impact on an already strong team was immediate. The Raiders enter next week's 6A State Tournament as top, and undefeated, top seed. Long and strong, she elevates well on shots and the glass. Funches has a terrific first step, handles well in full court and half court traffic, and is a credible three point shooter with a quick release.

[player_tooltip player_id='432514' first='Jacqueline' last='Hall'], 5'10, SG, Pittsburg - Hall slides into the #20, advancing two spots. The Purple Dragons endured a nearly winless season in a league that is sending a pair of teams to state tournaments next week and another that was beaten by a league foe to get to state. Hall can run the point but is especially effective on the wing. She has strong potential to be a high demand stretch four. An unselfish player, Hall has good quickness, feet, hands, and length. She catches well on the fly, finishes with either hand, and handles the ball well. My colleague Michael Riddle saw her with her club team, Missouri Legacy, at Prep Girls Hoops Live 2022 and wrote "Hall broke down the high-pressure presses all weekend. Smooth offensive game and can get to the rim and finish with ease. The long guard shuts down her opponent on defense as well."
