<p>The VISAA state tournament started this week with some big-time performances. Here are the standouts from the first and quarterfinals rounds.</p>

She hit a lot of open 3s and was tremendous on the break. Dru finished with 24 points and was instrumental in Bishop O'connell's rout in the first round. She poured in 33 points and an astonishing 8 steals. [player_tooltip player_id='302530' first='Nyla' last='Brooks'] is one of the players that missed time, and since she's been back, she's been on a tear. In the quarterfinal against Bishop O'Connell, Nyla had 21 points, leading Bishop Ireton to a 26-point win. She was her usual efficient self making 12/22 from the field and 3/6 beyond the arc.
