Has always known to be a great shooter but as she consistently developed to be one of the top scorers in the state of Virginia! With over 2000 points in her career is not an easy task when so many teams already know that you’re the number one option!  Her scoring production steadily increased every year averaging 27 points a game this season was big for a team that lost a division one player. Great size for a shooting guard, a knockdown shooter that has developed to be more of a ball handler and improved her defense. First team all VISAA was an early signee to Purdue Fort Wayne!

She poured in 33 points and an astonishing 8 steals. She knocked down 3 threes and was her usual active self on defense.

The level of consistency and high-level production is phenomenal, and this week she exemplified that. In a 31-point victory over Saint John Paul The Great Erin Woodson Erin Woodson 5'11" | SG Saint Gertrude HS | 2023 State VA had 34 points. She only made 2 out of 3 threes, but she showed her ability to score on all three levels. We know she’s a high-level shooter, so scoring only 6 points from behind the arc but still pouring in 34 total points shows she’s a supremely talented scorer. She finished her week with a 29-point 14 rebound performance in an absolute mauling of Central Virginia Disciples. Another massive week from the top scorer in the state.

Woodson does most of her work as a stationary shooter and has some of the most impressive range on this list. She’s made the most 3s at 69 three-pointers and shooting 37%. Woodson also gets to the line and makes them at a 78% clip, even though 3-point shooting is probably the most impactful. It’s important to stress that being a good shooter at all three levels is important.

She put up 23 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 steals in an absolute thwarting of Collegiate on Tuesday. Then on Friday, she had 35 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 steals against Virginia Academy in an exciting game that ended in a loss. Woodson is an elite shooter, and her ability to get to the line is where she gets a large portion of her points. She has excellent range and is terrific off the ball as a cutter. Woodson is tenacious on defense and plays the game super hard overall. High rebound and steal numbers are usually good indicators of that, and she has both.

Has consistently developed over the past three years, increasing her scoring production along the way! Very intentional on how she scores and creates her shot, a crafty player that can score around the basket. Erin is currently second in the state in scoring average at 26 points a game.
