The graduation class of 2025 is loaded with unbelievable talent. I was fortunate enough to view some of them this past school season. The following is a list of those Super Sophomores-Smaller Schools;

[player_tooltip player_id='465514' first='Jakyra' last='Jackson']-Jakyra, pictured above, is a five-tool player. She can score on demand. She has the size and strength to rebound with the bigs and has excellent court vision to dish off when double-teamed. Defensively Jakyra can read her opponent and will consistently overplay the passing lane. She is super quick and always plays downhill. Keep your eyes on this young lady!

[player_tooltip player_id='465496' first='Kori' last='Sanders']-A proto-type point guard, Kori will now be her team's leader for the next two years. As a sophomore, her season was cut short due to injury but she did enough to deservedly be recognized as one of the top point guards in the state. Her quickness and intensity will carry the Lady Warriors back to a deep post-season run in 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id='435887' first='Macy' last='Willis']-Macy led her team in every statistical category last season. She's a driver and attacks the basket, but will shoot the three-ball if it's available. She's strong and defensively can guard just about anyone outside the paint. Her peripheral vision is excellent and will dish off on the double-team.

[player_tooltip player_id='465509' first='Kate' last='Wood']-Kate is another player that attacks the basket. She has a wicked first step and once she gets by you it's either a basket, a foul, or both! Her role for the 2024 Mustangs will be to score more, stay out of foul trouble, and speed up the game. If that happens, Perryville will qualify for post-season play.

[player_tooltip player_id='465498' first='Kadee' last='Keaster']-Kadee will have the huge responsibility of leading her Red Devils squad this coming season. But she can definitely handle the job. Her varsity experience over the last two seasons qualifies her as one of the top guards in Class 3A for 2024. Kadee has an unselfish nature in sharing the ball, but she'll need to score more for her team to qualify for another post-season appearance.

[player_tooltip player_id='433863' first='Kiersten' last='Lowry']-Her strength is the three-ball. Kiersten is a catch-and-shoot specialist. As a sophomore, she filled a necessary gap from a graduating 2022 3A state championship team. Next year her role is to display leadership along with her shooting capabilities. Couple that with a strong 2025 class, and the Lady Panthers will repeat as 3A-Region 1 champions.

Lyla Roulston 5'10" F Jasper H.S.-Lyla likes to play facing the basket but periodically will need to go down low and work in the paint. She'll need to get stronger for all those paint touches. She utilizes the ball fake very well and clearly will be one of the team leaders going forward to 2024.

Next, I'll comment on a group of fantastic freshmen that jumped into the scene and made giant impacts on the high school basketball circuit.
