Live Period.
One of the many live period events taking place around the country emanated from Raleigh, North Carolina as this year’s Deep South Classic was another exciting get together of many of the country’s top travel teams.
The Research Triangle also happens to be the home of a few of the premier women’s hoops programs in the nation – including NC State and North Carolina.
We at Prep Girls Hoops were on hand for the weekend’s festivities. As one can guess, the robust youth movement that has defined South Carolina girls basketball was more than well-represented.

SC Future 9th 15U had a rough go of things in its first matchup of the weekend against Texas Flight Elite 2026 National 15U, but Brown proved to be a bright spot for the team. She put together a nine-point effort to lead all point-getters for the Palmetto State-based team. Brown can get herself into iso situations where she will display how fearless in attacking the basket. Defensively, she can create additional possessions for her team with the steals she collects. Brown will throw defenses off guard with her ability to not only drive to the basket but also drain 3-pointers.
Britt got her weekend live period in the Hoop State off to a fast start. Her Palmetto 76ers 14U team earned a victory over Carolina Waves Haddock 14U and she paced her team with an 18-point performance. Along with being an efficient scorer from start to finish, she also bolstered her team’s rebounding efforts and made excellent plays in transition. Included in her work on the boards was what she managed to get accomplished on the offensive glass. Britt’s performance was particularly noteworthy given the tempo of the game Palmetto 76ers 14U played against Carolina Waves Haddock 14U was rather high.
Livingston was also instrumental in getting Palmetto 76ers 14U off to a great start in the North Carolina Triangle. With a 10-point outing, she lifted her team to a victory over Hoop State-based Carolina Waves Haddock 14U. Livingston is a fearless rim attacker who plays with a high basketball I.Q. Her ability to drain her attempts from long range coupled with how she can get through defenses to the rim make her a threat to score from anywhere on the floor. Uptempo was the name of the game when her team defeated the North Carolina-based 14U bunch on Friday afternoon.
Aficionados of 2A Fairfield Central have became rather enthralled with how McMillan, for someone with plenty of upside, plays as if she was a veteran. McMillan tallied nine points as Palmetto 76ers 14U earned a victory over Carolina Waves Haddock 14U in its first game of the in its first game of the Deep South Classic. McMillan combined ball handling with an ability to get through defenses en route to the basket. She herself will also play tough defense and can give a 3-point shooting dimension to a team’s offense. McMillan also can deliver key blocks and displays her on-court leadership from start to finish with the minutes she gathers.
