Continue ReadingLillie Spicer Lillie Spicer 6’0″ | PF CR – Jefferson | 2027 State IA is finishing up her 8th grade year while playing for Team Iowa 2027 Blue Star team out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Spicer will attend CR-Jefferson for her freshman year and I’m sure she is going to make an impact almost immediately. She is a 5’11 forward who rim runs better than a lot of high school seniors I have seen this past season. She uses her size and strength to finish consistently and through contact a majority of the time, while also being a solid passer out of the post when she is double teamed. This Spring/Summer she is going to show how dominate she is with her TI team and I’m sure she will turn some heads. She has a good amount of skill for her age. If she grows into her body a little bit more and keeps working hard, she is going to be leading Jefferson high school to some successful seasons in the near future.

Aniyah Boens Aniyah Boens 5’8″ | CG DCG | 2027 IA is a class of 2027 student playing at the 17U level for her Beyond Ball Program. You read that right, she is ending her eight grade year and competing at a high level against 17U players from all over the country. Boens is special. A player who has a promising future ahead of her on the court with the size and ability she possesses. She has incredible strength, coordination, and drive for her age while showing that she can compete with anyone on a high school floor already. By watching her game you would never know that she is in 8th grade. It would be more likely that you would assume that she would be an upperclassman. With all this being said, she hasn’t even scratched the surface of her game and play-making ability. At this rate, with everything I see, Boens is going to be a front runner for the top player in the 2027 class out of Iowa and maybe even a player who receives national recognition, rankings-wise, when it’s all said and done.
KeaOnna Worley KeaOnna Worley 5’4″ | PG Prairie | 2027 State IA is a name I have brought up a few times this past year and actually quite recently but with this being the first official article of the 2027/2028 class as they are coming into high school, there is no way I could write this and not bring up the versatile play-maker. An individual who may not be the biggest player on the court but she runs her offenses to a T while being able to go get her team a bucket on a consistent basis. She has a nice handle with a shifty side-to-side movement and a plethora of skill moves to pull out of her bag to get herself an open look. This summer leading up to her freshman year she is going to prepare herself to come in and make a big statement at CR-Prairie high school this winter. Something I think most are expecting out of her with the pace she is on.

Jhaliana Guy Jhaliana Guy 5’10” | PG Bettendorf | 2028 IA is a name to know right now and she is only in seventh grade. A player who has displayed incredible promise as she has grown up, Guy is just different than most others her age. She has length and athleticism while being extremely coordinated and balanced in everything she does. She shows a fundamental overall game-style while being a difference maker for any team she is lacing up with, no matter the level of competition. She displays a nice handle while being a three level scorer at a high and efficient rate on the offensive side of the floor. I’m sure in middle school ball that Guy dominates everyone throughout the school year but she seems to really dominate any competition that she has matched up against in general. Something that is pretty impressive. It’ll be fun to watch her grow up over the next few years and see where she can take her game. Right now, the sky is the limit.

Abbie Keitges Abbie Keitges 5’9″ | PG Knoxville | 2027 State IA is a fast guard to know for the future. The 5’8 point guard out of Knoxville, Iowa is making waves already this spring while playing up on Beyond Ball ‘s 17U Elite team. Keitges is a lengthy and quick twitch point guard. She keeps it simple and to the point in her movements/actions, leading to a lot of success for herself and her teammates. She can create off the dribble and facilitate at a high rate to those around her who may have a better shot opportunity but also understands when it’s the best moment to just take it herself. Defensively she is a pest with her on-ball pressure and active hands, creating several tips/deflections for her squad, leading to steals and extra possessions. Looking forward just remember the name. This spring and summer I think she is going to put together quite the year going into her freshman season at Knoxville high school.
