. Guy almost touched 40 points in multiple games on multiple weekends on the road this Spring already and she is doing this while playing efficiently as a distributor as well. I think that something Guy is starting to figure out is that she brings a lot of attention to herself on the court with her ability to score the basketball. Opposing team’s are starting to lock in on that and so in return, Guy has been throwing out some nasty assists in the full and half-courts within their offense whenever she is doubled or tripled. Overall, if Guy can keep rounding out her game as she continues to grow both mentally and physically, who knows where it might take her. All I know is that Guy has a bright future on the hardwood and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here if she keeps putting in the work.

Jhaliana stood out for Mac Irvin Lady Fire Godfather 17U in the morning and continued to make her mark throughout day one at the PGH MI College Tour. Her length, elusive handles, athleticism, and shiftiness are difficult for defenders to contain. Jhaliana used a quick crossover to get by and converted the layup with her left. She sidestepped a defender in the paint to finish a layup, knocked down a mid-range jumper, drilled a triple in the slot, and hit another one from way downtown. Jhaliana shot the ball confidently from beyond the arc and penetrated off the dribble.

of Clinton High School. Guy is coming off of her best high school season to date. She helped lead her Clinton High School team to several wins this season, while breaking most of the records that were held from the past. In the end, they might not of made it all the way to State but this season was mainly to set the foundation for years to come. If they can build on this as a group moving into the next two seasons then I’m sure we will see this team in DSM at State before everything is said and done. Individually, over the next few weeks Guy will be going out to AZ to attend Team USA trails to see if she can make Team USA for her age level moving into the Summer. If she takes care of business and demonstrates her entire arsenal, she should have a decent shot of making the team this time around but we will just have to wait and see how it all plays out!

One of the top sophomores in the country, very, very big time playmaker. Can do it all, blast by you to score, pull up and drop a three on the move. If she’s not on your radar, you better put her on there!

I first saw Jhaliana Guy play last year as a freshman with Mac Irvin, and she immediately stood out with her ability to stretch the floor and her impressive shooting range. She has a smooth, confident stroke that allows her to knock down shots from multiple levels, making her a constant threat offensively.
What also stands out is how shifty she is with the basketball. She does a great job of using her handle and change of pace to create separation from defenders. Whether she’s coming off a dribble handoff, using a ball screen, or creating off the dribble, she consistently finds ways to generate good looks for herself.
She’s a poised guard who plays with a lot of confidence and control. She doesn’t get rattled easily and has a strong understanding of how to create her own shot within the flow of the offense. Her combination of shooting ability, handle, and composure makes her a tough matchup for any defense.

from Clinton’s side of things. Guy started off the game slow as Clinton couldn’t get into a rhythm in the first half. That’s primarily why things stayed close between both squads but in the second half everything seemed to flow a little bit better when Clinton just let their girls play in the open court. Guy’s skill level is top-notch. There is no doubt about that. She puts up big numbers in a short amount of time, always keeping the opposition on their heels. It’ll be interesting to see how the rest of her high school career goes following this season. She will have two more years left of high school ball and I’m sure she will be looking to make the most of that time. As for this game, Guy did her thing and led all scores (23) with ease.

and her new Clinton High School program. Guy, a Stanford WBB commit, has been getting it done when she has played so far this Winter. When breaking down Guy’s game, she can do it all at the Guard position but she has preferred to hit shots from deep at an impressively high rate over their first month and a half of action. She is leading the state in three pointers made so far this Winter and I don’t expect that stat to slow down with how often she is getting her shot off from behind the three point like. She is attempting anywhere from 10-20 three pointers per contest with most going in so far. In this Update Guy holds onto that #1 spot out of the 2028 Class but she does need to keep working because the others below her in this Class are starting to catch up in some aspects as they get older.

competed in her first game with her home-town Clinton High School team and man did she impress. Guy took the hardwood with confidence and made the stage her own with impressive scoring numbers, impressive rebounding numbers, & impressive defensive numbers. She finished things off with 36 points, a few rebounds, a few assists, and 6 steals. Throughout this showing Guy tied the Clinton High School record for points in a single-game, while shattering their three-point record as she made 10 of her 17 attempts from deep. It’s also important to note that her team ended up winning the contest by around 30+, which is really what matters at the end of the day. All in all, the State of Iowa is quickly going to find out that Guy is the real deal. She should be a top producer throughout the state all Winter long. She just needs to stay motivated & who knows where she might take things.

will hold our #1 spot for the 2028 Class moving into her Sophomore season at Clinton High School. Guy has had an exciting calendar year throughout 2025. She did very well every time she took the floor on the road with her Mac Irvin Fire program out of Chicago, she had the chance to compete for a spot on the Team USA roster for the 2028 Class in Colorado, as well as being invited to New York by Nike and New Balance to attend some of their special events taking place around the city throughout the Summer. All in all, we will have a chance to see what Guy can really do with her new Clinton squad. If everything goes to plan, that group should have ample success as we continue to move forward.

set the record for D1 offers coming into her Freshman season last Winter wit over 20 P4 official offers prior to her first Varsity basketball game in high school. Guy is now going to be competing with a new program in Clinton High School this Winter and she is going to have a chance to make her mark right away. With how the 4A Class shaping up to look this season and with who Clinton will return, this group will be a favorite to make it to the State Tournament if they compete with an efficient system. Guy is going to need some help around her but if she gets that, who knows how far this team could take things at the end of the day as Guy continues to stack records as she continues to evolve in her play-style.
