The #1 rated prospect in the state is taking her talented to The Wisconsin Purple Aces on the Adidas Circuit next season. Jhaliana Guy Jhaliana Guy 5'10" | PG Clinton | 2028 State #17 Nation IA has been a standout with her Mac Irvin Fire program out of Chicago the last couple of seasons and now she is looking to test her skills against some of the best Adidas ballers across the Country until she moves into the college ranks. Guy is rated as a Top 20 ESPNW 2028 for a reason. Crazy athletic player with a ton of potential upside still as she moves into her Junior season at Clinton High School. She hasn’t even scratched the surface of what she might turn into in the future if she sticks with it and that is a scary thought as we move into this next year of action.

Have to highlight it when you have a local prospect taking a visit to the reigning National Champions – that prospect being Jhaliana Guy of Clinton High School and The Wisconsin Purple Aces 3SSB. Guy is going to have almost every offer in the Country before she ends up committing at this point. This is something we have said for a few years now and there are no signs of it slowing down anytime soon. With the connections she has across the Country she could end up anywhere at this point. This next year is going to be very important for college programs to show Guy that they really care about her as a human. If they can do that, I think anyone could have a shot at her before everything is said and done.

Jhaliana Guy put together a memorable Winter campaign last season when she returned to her hometown of Clinton High School to finish out her high school career. Guy, the #18 prospect in the Country out of the 2028 Class according to ESPNW, basically broke every record that Clinton had in place prior to her arrival. Now her future is all about how she can build off of that. The main goal for Guy this Winter will be seeing if she can lead her Clinton program to the State Tournament in DSM within the 4A Class. Looking at the general outline of this Class and Clinton should be a Top 8 team all Winter. They should win most of their regular season contests and from there, it’s all about what Guy can do to lead her pack as they get closer to the State Tournament.

Jhaliana had a strong showing at the recent Beantown Elite Experience. She has a beautiful pull-up jumper in the mid-range, often lowering her shoulders as if she is driving before stopping on a dime and elevating over the top of defenders. She also plays well out of pick-and-rolls, making smart reads with the ball in her hands. As a taller guard, Jhaliana does a good job using her size to get her shot off over defenders.

Perimeter Shooting & Paint Touches

If you take a deep dive into this group of six players Jhaliana Guy would be labeled the best three point shooter and the best offensive option overall. First let’s touch on the three point shooting ability – Guy is the type that is going to live and die by the three-ball some games and that is because she is such a high level shooter. She is going to have days where she might hit 10 throughout a contest if she just happens to be feeling herself. She can hit these shots from ANY distance you want, even including the parking lot on some occasions. Second – she is someone that can get paint touches at Will and that is extremely important. That means she can handle past any defender and break down the defense as a whole from the middle of the floor. When you have that ability, the game becomes really fun out there and we see that each time Guy takes the floor.

Guy comes in at our #1 spot after another successful Spring season on the road. Guy played well doing AAU all across the Country and she also played really well at Team USA trails. Every time she has had the opportunity to show out in one way or another, she has done so. From what I’ve seen, she continues to make the most of her opportunities while performing at a high rate. Whatever or whoever is put in front of her, she does really well against and that’s going to be the case the rest of her playing career. With that being said I’m hoping we see Guy take things to another this Winter at Clinton. If she plays to her full capabilities, she should lead the group to a State appearance before her time in high school is over and from there – who knows what might happen. She just re-opened up her collegiate recruitment so she is going to have eyes from all over the Country on her. Now she just has to continue to perform.

That’s right. Jhaliana Guy, the former Stanford commit, is now uncommitted as she reopened her recruitment this evening via social media. This doesn’t come as much of a shock with the recent news about Stanford’s WBB team and the environment some of their players have come forth about, making this a very interesting situation overall. Guy instantly becomes one of the top recruits out of the 2028 Class in the Country. She held over 25 P4 offers moving into high school prior to commitment and I can’t wait to see who throws their hat in the ring now to follow this news.

There were some big time performances up North this weekend out of the State’s #1 ranked 2028 – Jhaliana Guy Jhaliana Guy 5'10" | PG Clinton | 2028 State #17 Nation IA . Guy almost touched 40 points in multiple games on multiple weekends on the road this Spring already and she is doing this while playing efficiently as a distributor as well. I think that something Guy is starting to figure out is that she brings a lot of attention to herself on the court with her ability to score the basketball. Opposing team’s are starting to lock in on that and so in return, Guy has been throwing out some nasty assists in the full and half-courts within their offense whenever she is doubled or tripled. Overall, if Guy can keep rounding out her game as she continues to grow both mentally and physically, who knows where it might take her. All I know is that Guy has a bright future on the hardwood and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here if she keeps putting in the work.

Jhaliana stood out for Mac Irvin Lady Fire Godfather 17U in the morning and continued to make her mark throughout day one at the PGH MI College Tour. Her length, elusive handles, athleticism, and shiftiness are difficult for defenders to contain. Jhaliana used a quick crossover to get by and converted the layup with her left. She sidestepped a defender in the paint to finish a layup, knocked down a mid-range jumper, drilled a triple in the slot, and hit another one from way downtown. Jhaliana shot the ball confidently from beyond the arc and penetrated off the dribble.

Holding onto the #1 spot within the 2028 Class moving into this Spring is none other than PG – Jhaliana Guy Jhaliana Guy 5'10" | PG Clinton | 2028 State #17 Nation IA of Clinton High School. Guy is coming off of her best high school season to date. She helped lead her Clinton High School team to several wins this season, while breaking most of the records that were held from the past. In the end, they might not of made it all the way to State but this season was mainly to set the foundation for years to come. If they can build on this as a group moving into the next two seasons then I’m sure we will see this team in DSM at State before everything is said and done. Individually, over the next few weeks Guy will be going out to AZ to attend Team USA trails to see if she can make Team USA for her age level moving into the Summer. If she takes care of business and demonstrates her entire arsenal, she should have a decent shot of making the team this time around but we will just have to wait and see how it all plays out!
