I was able to catch a couple games of theirs at the Lamelo Ball invitational. Let’s take a look at the players that make this team so dangerous.
Jodi King Jodi King 5’10” | PF 1 Of 1 Prep | 2025 State NC is tough getting rebounds on both ends of the court. She works hard on the block to get herself open ready to score the points when she gets the pass, but she can certainly go to work with the ball when needed. She did a nice job hustling back on defense blocking shots in transition. She follows shots on the offensive side of the ball using those as second chances to score some points and even made some old fashioned three point plays.

Samantha Shehan Samantha Shehan 6’0″ | CG Lake Norman | 2025 State NC continues to shine from beyond the arc knocking down her shot from deep. I don’t think there are many players who have a quick enough close out to get a hand in her face with how quickly she releases it. She even got involved in shot blocking on the other end protecting the paint. She follows shots grabbing offensive rebounds and scoring through contact for some three point plays that way, too.
Highlights
Alexis Shehan Alexis Shehan 6’0″ | SF Lake Norman | 2025 State NC does a nice job making her own plays attacking the basket off shot fakes and pulling up in the paint. She does well filling the lanes on fast breaks pushing the ball herself and finding her open teammates or taking it all the way herself. Her post moves on the block can score against anyone, and she easily steps outside using her handles to creates some space as a guard for her own shot.
Highlights
Addison Sirianni Addison Sirianni 5’7″ | CG Lake Norman | 2025 State NC continues to be a nuisance on defense stripping the ball on the press and half court defenses. She easily finds her teammates up the court right away for some points flashing to the basket, and she moves well with the ball finding the open areas. Her ability to handle the ball against pressure and run offensive sets makes sure her team finds a way to score each possession. She does a nice job knocking it down from deep, too.
Highlights
Bailey Page Bailey Page 5’9″ | SF Weddington | 2025 NC does a nice job defensively on the full court press setting up traps at the perfect times, and she runs the floor well in transition scoring her own fast breaks or finding her open teammates. She moves well on offense without the ball sliding into the gaps, and she shows off nice footwork in the paint posting up against her opponents for some points.
Danauje Brooks Danauje Brooks 5’4″ | PG E.E. Smith | 2025 State NC is a shifty ball handler being able to change directions quickly to lose her defenders. She is sneaky on defense, too, coming in hot to strip the ball from her opponents and easily take it the other direction for some fast break points. She can certainly knock down her shot from deep, too, and she brings good energy every time she steps on the court.
Highlights
Taylor Hawley Taylor Hawley 5’10” | SG Wesleyan Christian | 2025 State NC always has her eyes peeled across the court finding the opening as she can push the ball with a long pass, or she can take it all the way herself filling in the open lanes. She does a nice job sliding around the perimeter creating space with her movements without the ball and being ready to shoot as soon as she gets the pass. Her hands are constantly deflecting passes on defense.
Highlights
Léa Boyens Léa Boyens 5’8″ | CG Hickory | 2025 State NC can knock down her shot well around the arc, and she handles the ball running plays from the top of the key. She is quick making cuts in and out of the paint making sure she is moving to shift the defense. Her face guarding is aggressive keeping her opponent in front of her and knocking the ball away to get some stops on that end of the court.

Evelyn Jimenez-Willis
Evelyn Jimenez-Willis has some excellent height that makes her an asset all over the court. She can get up high for the entry pass or rebound, and she knows how to use her feet to reposition herself for the bucket. Her hands are certainly ready to block shots if anyone tries to score in the paint.
