Regan Juenemann
The Duluth native is one of the most highly thought of prospects in her class in Minnesota and plays on one of the most exciting young teams in her home state. Juenemann showed her threat to shoot from the perimeter. It did not take long for defenders to respect her ability to make perimeter jumpers. I thought she looked confident and got comfortable in her new surroundings quickly.
Ella Hischke Ella Hischke 5'10" | PF Bonduel | 2024 State WI
In a few games, her group gave up plenty of height. I thought Hischke did a good job battling for position against scholarship-level forwards. Regardless of the score in those games, the size of her opponents didn’t affect her game. She’s as steady of a wing/forward hybrid as there is, and she still showed off her versatility on the offensive end by initiating offense and stretching the floor for her guards. Hischke may not have the size most coaches initially look for, but she’ll be able to figure things out when she gets on the floor at the next level.
Molly O’Riordan Molly O’Riordan 6'2" | C Barrington | 2024 State IL
To say O’Riordan plays through contact at an elite level would be an understatement. In the few games, I saw her play, she got hit a lot when she got a touch in the post, and a portion of them did not get called, but she still played through it and made plays. She’s a tough kid that doesn’t mind the contact and almost seems to welcome it. I loved her willingness to continue posting up and powering through her defender to get shots at the rim. O’Riordan also dominated the battles on the boards herself and earned numerous second-chance points.
This season, Wiczek is on a new AAU group within Wisconsin Impact, and most of what she did this weekend made her teammates better. She’s a pass-first kid used to playing with elite talent and taking a secondary scoring role within those teams. I loved what she did with her new group. Wiczek would be the creator on the offensive end and took more of a scoring role that I wasn’t used to seeing, and it worked excellently. She got the newcomers easy looks at the basket, and throughout one game, you could tell that her group got more comfortable on the offensive end because of her ability to create at the point of attack. I’m eager to see what her group looks like in a month or two.
