Spring Rankings Look-In: 2023 Point Guards

We have also changed formats to make rankings more exclusive, therefore at this time we are ranking just 125 total players in the Class of 2023, with the rest being placed on a watchlist of 125 players. This is the last list to be released for the Class of 2023 before they head off to college. In the meantime, I wanted to take this time to circle back and address all of the listed prospects, position by position. Below is a look at 33 point guard prospects who make up 13.2% of the rankings this time around, with analysis on a handful to "keep an eye on" detailed at the bottom.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- When I first saw her, between her 8th Grade and Freshman years, she was roughly the same size and was used as more of a wing shooter because she had great touch and deep range. She showed toughness as a youngster and continues that today. She has added a much more dynamic game off the bounce, and she can create for herself or others, plus she's a scrappy defender.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["264991"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Kaitlyn is another tough-nosed little guard who can fill it up with range. She spent a couple of years in the Millers' starting backcourt, and that's playing alongside some serious talent. Kaitlyn kind of flies under the radar because of her size, but she can really play. She is creative off the bounce, she can run or create offense, but it's definitely her ability to consistently fill it up outside that stands out. However, Addi is very crafty and creative, and she has a keen sense for the game. She almost studies the game early on, then acts as a surgeon and dissects the defense as the game wears on. She has really nice length, good quickness, and she can consistently bury shots from deep. She is extremely strong and physical, she has broad shoulders, and she is a North/South, downhill attacker. She has good ball skill but more so creates gaps than takes gaps. She is an effortful defender, and she can take on some bigger guards and wings because of her physicality. She also rebounds her position well. Over the past 12-18 months, her perimeter shooting has improved quite a bit, and that has really helped her.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["331808"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Nyla saved the best for last, putting together a strong Senior season for the Lady Orioles. Nyla has some strength, but she's more of an explosive athlete than anything. She is quick, fast, and bouncy, and she can change directions in a moment's notice. She makes a lot of plays because of her physical talent, but as her game has matured, she has continued to develop her all-around skillset.
