Class of 2024: Prolific Scorers In Class 1A DII

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Staff for the Prep Girls Hoops Kansas site is currently working on a large update for the Class of 2024 rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In Class 1A &nbsp;DII schools there were unofficially seven players who averaged double-digit scoring totals during their junior seasons.&nbsp; Here is a report on those prolific scorers in the Class of 2024 who averaged 10 points or more during the 2022-2023 season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='453780' first='Anna' last='Thielen']</strong>, 5'4”, PG, Wilson</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Thielen averaged 15.5 points per game during her junior campaign. She scores bet off the drive and makes solid passes off the drive as well. She is also a rebound machine as she finished with an average of 6.2 rebounds per game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='606257' first='Sydnie' last='Jones'], </strong>5'9” SF, Bucklin</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jones scored 14.9 points per game during the 2022-2023 season. Jones sees the court really well and likes is solid in the transition game as a scorer and passer. She also averaged 6.1 rebounds per game during her junior season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Karoline Schroeder</strong>, 5'8”, PF, Wheatland-Grinnell</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Schroeder averaged a double-double during her junior season for the Thunderhawks. She averaged 11.7 points per game and 10.1 rebounds per game. She is long and athletic. The Wheatland-Grinnell prospect also averaged 2.8 steals and two assists per game. Schroeder is also a solid college volleyball prospect as an outside hitter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Mary Baird</strong>, 5'7”, PF, &nbsp;Northern Valley</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Baird averaged 10.8 points per game for Northern Valley during the 2022-2023 season. Baird is a three-level scorer with a sweet jump shot. She also collected 6.6. rebounds per game for the Huskies.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Elly Jo Tancayo</strong>, 5'4”, PG, Ingalls</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tancayo scored 10.7 points per game during her junior season. The Ingalls guard scores the majority of her points from deep. She also averaged 6.5 rebounds per game in 22 games played for the Bulldogs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Brooke Bailey</strong>, 5'3”, PG, Ingalls</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ingalls has a second player on this list. Boyd averaged 10.6 points per game during the 2022-2023 season. She scores more from the paint and averaged 6.7 points per game. Bailey and Tancayo give Ingalls a solid one-two scoring punch.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Taylor Denio</strong>, 5'4”, PG, Stafford</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lange averaged 10.5 points per game during her junior season for Stafford. She also averaged 6.4 rebounds per game. The Stafford prospect runs the floor well and is a defensive wizard.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
