I think this will really help give everyone a better idea of who to watch out for this summer, leading into the season this winter. Enjoy!

Tarryn Godsey Tarryn Godsey 5’11” | PF Nebraska City | 2025 State NE comes back for her junior season as the top returning rebounder out of the 2025 class in the state of Nebraska. Last season, Godsey held her own and really stepped up on the varsity level. She averaged 12.1 PPG and 11.6 rebounds, a big jump compared to her freshman year where she average 2.1 PPG and 6 RPG. Godsey has some game. She is a really physical presence down low in the paint who lives on the boards. She has a relentless and high motor that helps her secure more rebounds than most. This summer I expect her to come back to school ball and excel over her competition, setting up for a great winter to come.
Mattie Dalton
Mattie Dalton
A player who made some big waves last season who I am going to be high on coming into this winter is Mattie Dalton. Dalton is a power forward who possesses some next level athleticism whenever she steps on the court. Her jumping ability combined with the knowledge of where the ball is going to land is better than most I watched last year at the varsity level, across a few different states. It’ll be interesting to what Daltons future holds as she is also a promising young talent on the volleyball court. I think either way, she is going to do just fine at the college level.
JJ Black JJ Black 6’2″ | C Elkhorn Valley | 2025 State NE is a top returning rebounder out of the 2025 class in Nebraska for this upcoming winter season. With that being said, she does so many positive and successful things on the court, rebounding is just one of the few. When you look at Black as a prospect she checks a lot of boxes. She has length at 6’2, IQ for the game of basketball, the knowledge to never bring the ball down for a smaller opponent, and she fills up a ton of categories on the stat sheet. A perfect example of this was last season for her Sophomore year where she averaged 12.7 PPG, 10.8 RPG, 1.8 SPG, and a MONSTROUS 6.6 BPG. Ranking her in the top 5 in a good amount of categories, overall, when looking back. There is a ton of potential and promise here, if she keeps putting it together, she is going to be a top post player come this winter throughout the entire state of Nebraska.
Kena Ailes is a player that is still coming into her own on the basketball court and that’s okay because once she has it all together, she has the potential to be an elite player at a high college level. Ailes is a power forward with size, a good handle, decent vision, and some skill with the ball in her hands. She is an elite rebounder who is great at timing her jump and working for position before a shot goes up. The most promising thing about her game in my eyes is that she is slowly expanding everything. She is becoming more comfortable catching the ball outside of the lane and creating for herself on a consistent basis. Like I said above, if she can keep that up, then it’s going to lead to a lot of success over the next few seasons for her Lincoln Christian high school team.
Kerry Ryan Kerry Ryan 6’1″ | C Ansley/Litchfield | 2025 State NE jumps to the ball well, works hard on every possession like it’s her last, and most importantly she never gives up on the play until the whistle blows. Last season she put on a rebounding clinic in the paint, averaging near 10 RPG for her Ansley/Litchfield high school team while also helping them in a few other categories as well. This upcoming season I expect her role to grow and her offensive ability to really take shape. She has the size and length to be an efficient player near the hoop against the competition she will have to face. If she works hard this off-season, trusts in that work when the time comes, and keeps on competing like every play is her last, then she is going to be doing just fine and should repeat as a top rebounder in the 2025 class come this winter.
