When it comes to programs that have skilled players, great coaching, a lot of support – Lincoln Christian is definitely in that conversation. For the past 3.5 years, their force in the middle has been Kena Ailes Kena Ailes 6'0" | PF Lincoln Christian | 2025 State NE . Ailes stands at 6’0 and she seems to be a problem for most to defend. She competes with physicality, strength, and calculated movement, which has led to some impressive showings this Winter. If LC wants to run the table, Ailes needs to play the best ball of her career. Something that is definitely possible looking forward when you account for her height and the intangibles she brings to the hardwood.

Another major piece to Lincoln Christian’s puzzle comes to us at the PF position with Senior – Kena Ailes Kena Ailes 6'0" | PF Lincoln Christian | 2025 State NE . Ailes has that mixture of length, awareness, and physicality that all coaches love to work with. In more times than not, Ailes has size on whoever is matching up with her and if she doesn’t? She possesses the ability to spread out the defense from the outside, eventually getting back into the middle of the defense for some quality looks or rebounds. This is another situation where I’m not sure who has reached out to Ailes but if her game-play this season is any indiction, I’m sure there are a handful of recruiters interested in Ailes, moving int the second half of this current season.

The mixture of size, skill, and knowledge of the position that Kena Ailes Kena Ailes 6'0" | PF Lincoln Christian | 2025 State NE competes with is something that collegiate recruiters need to keep an eye on moving into this 2024-2025 high school season. Ailes is 6’0, she is someone that rebounds the ball with authority on both ends, she can score on either side of the hoop with either hand, and she can knock down standstill jumpers from almost anywhere on the floor. This past year, Ailes has shown that she has a ton of ability and upside in this sport. She grabbed a good amount of double-doubles last year as a whole and she always produced in one way or another whenever she took the floor. I’m not sure if she is competing this AAU season or not but this is someone that is very underrated for this 2025 Class throughout Nebraska. She could be a real steal for someone out there if given a shot. She just needs a chance.

A player that was on the verge of making the Top 10 list in the rankings in this update, who is one hell of a basketball player is Kena Ailes Kena Ailes 6'0" | PF Lincoln Christian | 2025 State NE . Ailes stands at 6’0 FT and is a dominate force in the paint. I really need to be able to see her more, live and up close, to assess her abilities a little better but from everything I have seen, she has a high motor and she works really hard for her size. She is versatile in her position where she can play the Post or she can move to more of a Forward role, depending what is being asked of her. Over the past two years Ails has put up productive numbers at the high school level, I’m expecting nothing less this upcoming season as she continues to grind in attempts to play at the next level some day.

I’ve had the chance to write about Kena Ailes Kena Ailes 6'0" | PF Lincoln Christian | 2025 State NE once already this spring as a returning leader in another category for the 2025 class but here we go again. Ailes averaged a double-double for her sophomore high school season with 17.2 PPG and 10.5 RPG, while helping lead her team to the state tournament. Ailes has a lot of size and paired with that, a lot of promise. She has length, coordination, good hands, and vision. All things that when you add together, create a recruit that many colleges are going to find interest in. Over this spring/summer Ailes is going to get a good amount of looks from colleges from all levels and all over the country. Something that is much deserved with the work she has been doing in her off seasons in preparation to put herself in a position to be successful these last two high school years, leading into college ball.

Kena Ailes is a player that is still coming into her own on the basketball court and that’s okay because once she has it all together, she has the potential to be an elite player at a high college level. Ailes is a power forward with size, a good handle, decent vision, and some skill with the ball in her hands. She is an elite rebounder who is great at timing her jump and working for position before a shot goes up. The most promising thing about her game in my eyes is that she is slowly expanding everything. She is becoming more comfortable catching the ball outside of the lane and creating for herself on a consistent basis. Like I said above, if she can keep that up, then it’s going to lead to a lot of success over the next few seasons for her Lincoln Christian high school team.
