Take the ball to the hoop, hoop!” The following athletes do an excellent job of just that: handling the rock and getting the ball through the hoop. Let’s take a look at some athletes you should see this summer.
Delanie Hill Delanie Hill 5’7″ | CG Providence | 2024 State NC does a great job pushing the ball up the court finding the open lanes to score some points or find her teammates. She moves well with the ball adjusting to make the best pass, and she relocates on the court after she passes finding the open spots to knock down her shot from deep. She doesn’t shy away from getting inside for rebounds, too, being ready for the putback on the offensive side or busting out of the paint from a defensive rebound to start a fast break.
Jasmine Harris Jasmine Harris 5’8″ | CG Northern Guilford | 2024 State NC has a good feel for the ball on both ends of the court. She can jump into passing lanes grabbing the steal, and she has a good variety of moves on fast breaks including a spin move and Euro step to get some points at the rim. Her change of speed moves help create some space for her to pull up for the midrange or knock down a shot from deep around the perimeter. Her quickness allows her to get up the court being ready for a pass and bucket in transition.

Emma Montanari Emma Montanari 5’8″ | CG East Lincoln | 2026 State NC has excellent court awareness already becoming a star for her high school team at East Lincoln and continuing that dominance this summer with Lady Attack Elite. She knows how to read the floor and have her way with the ball attacking the basket and drawing defenders towards her to make the dish or battle through contact for some points. She is a knockdown shooter from around the perimeter, too, being able to score on all levels.
Oshauna Holland Oshauna Holland 5’7″ | PG Stuart Cramer | 2026 State NC does a little bit of everything for her team knowing how to fit in the role that is needed most in the moment. She has a talent of getting to the hoop driving aggressively and finishing on both sides of the rim, especially some tough reverses underneath the basket. She takes advantage of space knowing when to pull up and show off her range. On defense, she’s pesky stripping the ball from her opponents and pushing the other direction getting her own points or making the nice dish to her teammate cutting up the court.

Charlotte Tune Charlotte Tune 5’6″ | PG Charlotte Latin | 2026 State NC has been making waves with her sharp shooting from around the arc, and she attacks the gaps well navigating herself to the basket finishing strong at the rim. She sees the floor well knowing how to shift the defense with her handles and cuts to the basket opening up the floor for her teammates, too. She has a nice midrange jumper as well knowing how to create her own space to score some points.
