Whether they are primarily point runners, shooters or combo guards, these high schoolers demonstrate a versatile skillset that makes those around them better. Let’s take a look at some top guards from recent AAU tournaments in the Bay State.
Emily Moran
Emily Moran
Emily Moran’s height make her a versatile combo guard who can drive to the basket and compete against taller defenders. She can shoot the ball and demonstrates confidence bringing the ball up the court and facilitating for her teammates. Moran is the type of player you want on your team because of the many ways she can contribute. Heading into her junior season, Moran still has ample time to develop her skills and show the state her potential.
Kyra Papas
Kyra Papas
Kyra Papas is savvy point guard and skilled ball-handler with speed and control in transition. She has excellent situational awareness and a good basketball IQ, creating opportunities for herself and for teammates with her court vision and play-making. Papas is also a strong defender who can disrupt the flow of opposing guards. A solid, classic point guard, Papas is key to her team’s success on both ends of the floor.
Having just wrapped up her freshman season, Breena Hannon Breena Hannon 5’10” | SG Northfield Mount Hermon | 2026 State NewE is a star on the rise. She’s a very fun player to watch who brings energy and intensity during her minutes on the court. Her quickness and ball-handling abilities allow her to weave through defenders on the way to the basket, and her court vision makes her a solid facilitator for her teammates. Breena shines for her Bay State Jaguars AAU team, and is a player to keep an eye on as she progresses through her high school career.

Hannah O’Hanian
Hannah O’Hanian is a small and mighty guard who uses her intuition and court smarts to outmatch opponents. She has good basketball instincts and plays solid defense, hustling to the ball and anticipating the offense’s next move. O’Hanian is a skilled two-way player and has the talent to elevate the play of her teammates on both ends of the floor.
