Midwest Extravaganza- Rising Younger Stars

I had the chance to see several of the 14U teams over the weekend and here are some of the top players I had the viewed at the Midwest Extravaganza. The 14U all tournament team is coming this week!

Caroline Flynn Caroline Flynn 5'4" | PG Marist | 2027 IL – EBA Elite 2027

This guard is so explosive. She comes out of nowhere. Super quick hands, and the ability to read defensively and anticipate, scoring in transition.

Summer Toussaint – Limitless Elite 2027

Strong kid, able to play downhill well, put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. Good handles and distributor, can get her teammates involved. Smart player with a bright upside.

Ziko Okolo – Angels Basketball 2027

She has a really high ceiling, she is young and skilled. Her length makes it difficult for teams to get to the paint. Athletic and her offensive game will continue to develop. A she gains more confidence and experience, I also expect her physicality in the game to increase.

Lainey Chong – Full Package Gold 2027

Can distribute the ball well and is active to force mistakes. Moves well without the ball, able to score off of turnovers, good active hands. Runs the floor well. Good outlet.

Joslynn James Joslynn James 5'3" | PG Sterling Warriors | 2027 IL – Midwest Wildcats 2027

Fiery point guard, high energy and able to push tempo. She has good handles and isn’t afraid to get downhill and battle through contact. Makes good decisions.

Aubrie Fuller – Midwest Wildcats 2027

Good moves around the rim, has a good runner in the paint. Smooth perimeter shot, can score off the pass. As all of these players on this list, her game will continue to grow as she works and matures.

Macey Mills – Pink Elite 2027

Good quick perimeter shot, knocks them down from behind the arc. Long and athletic, moves well without the basketball. Very effective from either corner.  In this game I saw she was automatic from the three.

Avery Mullaghy – Illinois Dream 2027

Quick shooter, does a good job shooting off the pass and can use the screen to get open. She has good mobility and her hands are very active on defense, able to create turnovers. Smart basketball play with a good IQ, she’s got a good future in front of her.

Khloe Nicholson – 25 Eight Mentality 2027

She is really long and has a big wingspan. She’s just young and needs to gain more experience, but I think that will come. She runs the floor well and can defend with her length.
