I’m big on confidence, and this kid is just filled with it. I’ve said on numerous occasions that she plays bigger than her size, but it’s her aggression that continues to stand out. She’s one of those players that seems to get better as she plays more games. She’s also showing her ability to play off the ball, which will be big for her recruitment.

this weekend as her team’s starting PG. James made the right play while assisting others at high rate, she made some attempts offensively when those opportunities presented themselves, and she played scrappy defense as a whole. All things you need to do if you want to play at the next level as a smaller guard. I’ve always been a fan of James and what she brings to the hardwood. She is a true PG with a bright future at the next level one day. She just needs to continue to keep working in her off-time.

Outside of her skillset with the ball in her hands, her IQ and awareness are what stand out to me and why I think colleges should overlook the height factor. She can score at the rim, in the midrange, as well as beyond the arc. One of those prospects that you have to see in person to truly understand the value she brings.

Joslynn James is a shifty guard for the Sterling Warriors. During a recent matchup, she elevated for a defensive rebound against a post, used pushout dribbles down the floor, and buried a deep mid-range jumper from the wing. Joslynn protects the ball from defenders by creating space with her retreat dribbles. She is a ball hawk who causes turnovers with her anticipation and quick hands. Joslynn has the balance to stop on a dime and pull up beyond the arc or in the mid-range.
