Several high schools west of downtown Atlanta were the host sites of this year’s Peach Games as part of the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit. In addition to Georgia’s three-day event, others also took place in Wisconsin, Texas and Ohio.
The four divisions that converged on these areas all came in with a stacked field – including the 16U assemblings. Without further adieu, here is our First Team among those 16U squads.
Morgan Landrum
Morgan Landrum
As we mentioned in our 15U All-Peach Games pieces, this past weekend was very productive if one was wearing a Wood Elite uniform. What made Wood Elite 2027’s success particularly notable is it played up a couple of classes to 16U – and still went undefeated. Landrum was a key piece in that winning puzzle this past weekend for Wood Elite 2027. Their final game of the weekend was a victory over Carolina All-Stars 2027. Landrum tallied 12 points in that contest. She also was only called for two personal fouls in that game. Landrum has a knack for getting to the free throw line and drawing contact in addition to finding success in attacking the basket.
Ansley Dunn
Ansley Dunn
Speaking of playing up in class, Dunn was already doing so as she is a 2028 playing on a 2027 team. This means she took to the court against players with three years more experience than her – and held her own. In the Carolina All-Stars victory on Sunday, Dunn also put 12 points on the scoreboard. She did the bulk of her scoring damage in the first half where she had eight of her 12. Dunn can give a 3-point shooting dimension to a team’s offense. If one were looking for an ideal point guard for their team, one may not have to look any further than Dunn, particularly with her ability to handle the ball and limit turnovers.
Even though Team Griggs 2025 concluded this year’s Peach Games with a 4-0 record, things looked precarious for coach Tijuan Griggs’ bunch in the first game they played which was at Lithia Springs HS. They trailed JSI Elite 2025 by a score of 30-22 at the half only to rally for its first win. Graham managed to keep her team in the game throughout the first half. She finished with 18 points – including 12 of the 22 Team Griggs 2025 had at the half. JSI Elite 2025 had very few answers for Graham as she not only displayed her interior presence, but also her ability to play the game on contact as well as handle the ball amongst a sea of opposing defenders.

Kate Breault

When it was not her Team Griggs 2025 teammate Graham that was finding ways to put points on the board, it was Breault that was doing so. She concluded the game with JSI Elite 2025 on the opening evening of Peach Games with a 15-point effort. Defensively, she keeps her hands outstretched. Breault also displayed impressive ball handling skills in addition to being a ferocious attacker of the rim. She also displayed her willingness to draw contact and take her chances at the free throw line. Breault is one of two representatives from Cornelius Hough on this season’s Team Griggs 2025 roster.
Ashlyn Young

Tre Mann Elite was one of the first teams that had the privilege of taking to the court for this year’s Peach Games. It was also one of the four teams among the 16U field that finished the weekend with a perfect 4-0 mark. The first game the team played was against Georgia-based Queens of Basketball. Young finished with 16 points. Her 5-foot-8 stature as a point guard can be on the tall end by the standards of girls basketball and it comes in useful in the rebounding game. Young also will seamless translate defense into offense – particularly in transition where steals can become two more points for her team.
