The Main Event is a NCAA certified live event that took place May 19-21 in Benton, AR. This particular tournament featured several teams from Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Mississippi. So let's look at some of the top performers from some of the Arkansas teams I covered.   [player_tooltip player_id='943308' first='Caroline' last='Bradley'] | Post | AR Mavs 2025 - GUAA | 2027   To have not played one minute of high school ball and to be an impact player on the 2025 squad is impressive. Caroline is a player who is quiet and reserved, but her game speaks loud for her. The 6'5 post player is quietly becoming one of the most dominant bigs in the nation in the class of 2027. Caroline currently holds offers from Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Alabama, Ole Miss, Auburn, Arkansas and others. With her soft touch, physicality, strong frame, rebounding ability, and defensive presence the offers will continue to come in and her potential will continue to grow.   [player_tooltip player_id='876300' first='Jada' last='Maples'] | Guard | AR Mavs 2026 - GUAA | 2026   I have seen a lot of growth in Jada's game over the past couple of years. She continue to evolve and grow her game to new heights. Standing at 5'9 her height and length combined with her athleticism is a nightmare for her opponent when she's on defense. A tough on ball defender that also plays the passing lanes well. Offensively she score in a variety of ways. She's a respectable three-point shooter that can knock down the spot up jumper. Jada can break down the defense off the dribble and finish at the rim with a runner or through contact. She's also a nice passer in transition with her vision and ability to see the floor. One of the state's top players in the class of 2026.   [player_tooltip player_id='453182' first='Sarah' last='Snodgrass'] | Wing | J Squad | 2024   Sarah is a Miss Do It All for her team. Both sides of the ball she will be able to have an impact on the game. Standing near 6ft she can defend the post on one possession then switch on a wing player the next. Her versatility to defend allows her to switch screens and guard different types of players. Offensively she's a BEAST. She put up 34 points in one game and showed through out the weekend that she can score on any player a number of different ways. Sarah scored off offensive rebounds, in transition, she got to the free throw line, off the dribble, and catch and shoot. With her ability to score also attracts additional defenders and that allowed her to be a playmaker for her teammates.   [player_tooltip player_id='876312' first='Maddie' last='Mannion'] | Wing | AR Shockerz | 2026   Going back to her high school season I've seen a big improvement in Maddie's confidence on the floor. She's starting to KNOW, not think or believe, but KNOW she can play with anyone. Maddie is another player that can play multiple positions. She's a threat on the wing, can score from the high post and can operate out of the low post. The wing position is where she can do the most damage. Her ability to catch and shoot from the three-point line creates hard closeouts which allows her to attack off the dribble for the mid-range jumper or use her size to finish at the rim. She can create off the dribble but does has a good understanding of how to play off the ball. A quick decision maker when the ball gets in her hands and is efficient when she attacks.   [player_tooltip player_id='875466' first='Shalyn' last='Lyle'] | Guard | RV Heat 17U | 2025   I like Shalyn's game. I've seen her play several times and I know what to expect. She's going to play with a high IQ, give great effort, play unselfish, she's a willing defender, and she's going to show you how well she can shoot the ball. Of all those I mentioned the one area I'm impressed with the most is her unselfish play. She doesn't care who's in the gym or who's watching, she's going to play the game the right way. If she drives and attract additional defenders, she's going to make the right the play. If a teammate has the hot hand, she's going to try and get them the ball. Shalyn has some of the best guard skills in the Arkansas class of 2025 and she will continue to get better.
