Washington Field House did not disappoint! – there were no big crowds and there was no loud student section but these players played the game they love with the same passion and intensity they would on any given Tuesday and Friday night come November —
Heaven Smith Heaven Smith 5’6″ | PG Kipp Tulsa | 2024 State OK 2024 – KIPP: Heaven is going into her last season of high school basketball and it was evident from the jump that she is focused and determined to help her team make a run for the 3A title. It may be “just a scrimmage” to some but Smith took the 32 minutes seriously and she showed why she is one of the most electrifying players in Oklahoma. She is an extraordinary ball handler who stays under complete control regardless of the amount of pressure applied to her. Smith scored multiple times from deep but most impressive was her ability to use her craftiness to get downhill and finish through multiple defenders. Heaven is not only an offensive threat as her defense is just as intense and aggressive!
Brianna Gist Brianna Gist 6’0″ | PF Kipp Tulsa | 2024 State OK 2024 – KIPP: Brianna is not the biggest or tallest player on the court most nights but her dominating presence is felt when she is defending the inside. I had the opportunity to watch Gist play a couple of games last season and one thing is for sure – she has gotten better and showed much improvement in her body control and rebounding.

Cameryn Hinson 2025 – KIPP: Cameryn is a true hustler and whenever she is on the floor – the energy, tempo and number of defensive stops increases! She is ready and willing to defend all 94 feet & her multiple efforts on the board do not go unnoticed. Cameryn is a true difference maker and it will exciting to watch her growth and development as the season approaches.
Bella McSwain 2026 – Union: Bella played solid varsity minutes as a freshman and as her sophomore season campaign quickly approaches, she is showing signs that she will have a very productive year for the Lady Redhawks. McSwain has tightened up her ball handling – and, she was able to keep the offense going under pressure. She is getting to the basket more aggressively and was able to get to the free throw line quite a few times.
