Over the past weekend, I went to Mukwonago High School to watch the Lakers Classic. I saw most of the high school teams who participated, and over the next two days, I want to go over a few kids who I thought played well when I watched them play over in Mukwonago.

I'd never seen Long before, but she was impressive in both the games I watched her play. She has a solid combination of interior scoring and perimeter shooting. Her versatility is something I think every small school coach would love to have on their roster, and she's an above-average athlete as well. I could see her being a wing on a team competing at the highest level in D3 or even earning a scholarship or two at the D2 level. Versatility is a coveted trait, and Long certainly has it.

[player_tooltip player_id='337024' first='Olivia' last='Conway']

I've said it for a while, but shooting is something that Conway could fix on a roster at the next level quickly. She did well as the lead guard for Catholic Memorial, navigating through pressure while finding ways to get her shots off when necessary. She's not the tallest lead guard you'll find, but she's one of the better problem solvers in the state. She's played against multiple scholarship-level players and has still been able to make things happen for herself and others.

[player_tooltip player_id='533068' first='Kyrin' last='Lile']

What I like most about Lile is how well she does a little of everything. She's a 6-0 or 6-1 forward who can handle the ball. Lile uses a spin move from about the free-throw line she consistently creates space with. That spin has worked in every event I've seen her play at and against some high-level talent in the 2026 class from the Midwest and beyond. Lile is also comfortable spacing the floor and shooting from the 3-point line with volume. I'm a believer in her ability to excel at the highest level.

[player_tooltip player_id='533069' first='Presly' last='Samz']

I'm not sure if I fully appreciated how crucial a figure Samz is to the teams she plays on until this past weekend. Watching her Lakers team play without her the first day compared to the second day, unironically, was night and day. It's not that they were bad without her, I just thought she ran things smoothly and had a poise about her that her team didn't have the day before. I'm not sure if her value will ever be able to be understood with individual stats, but wherever she plays from now until the end of time will win games because she's on their team.
