Before my first AAU event of the spring and summer, I highlighted a few players to know in the 2027 class as we head into the AAU season. Today, we're looking at some players to learn about before this spring and summer, following their sophomore high school seasons. Now, let's look at some 2028s to learn about as we inch closer to the first live period of the AAU season coming up in a few weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='992492' first='Ellie' last='Pudelko']

The Wauwatosa East native had a breakout sophomore season, playing major minutes for one of the top programs in the state last season. Pudelko is a versatile wing who can space the floor at a high level and use her physicality to help her team compete on the boards throughout a game. I thought she improved a great deal from her first to her second season of high school basketball and has put herself in a position to draw interest from scholarship programs, if she hasn't already.

[player_tooltip player_id='874386' first='Maisie' last='Hinz']

What I love about Hinz's gam is that she doesn't need much to be successful on either end of the floor, while being able to do a little of everything. The Northeast Wisconsin native is a physical player who can overpower defenders around the basket, handle the ball on the perimeter, space the floor, and make the right reads as a passer to help her team earn open shots. She may never be a player who scores 30 points in a game, but she will help any team compete.

[player_tooltip player_id='879894' first='Mady' last='Vind']

The Milton wing quietly put together an impressive high school season, and could be a player who surprises some college coaches this coming spring and summer. Vind is an athletic kid who can get downhill and beat her defender off the dribble using her speed and physicality to get to the rim. She may not have been the focal point of the Red Hawk offense this season, but she got to her spots when her number was called. I'm eager to hear what college coaches think of Vind.

[player_tooltip player_id='889690' first='Mylee' last='Redman']

The Laconia guard can play either backcourt spot and find ways to make plays. Redman is comfortable with the ball in her hands and can score from all three levels offensively. I thought she was solid last summer with [program_tooltip program_id='713038' first='Wisconsin' last='Blaze'], and showed she could play through ball pressure and make plays for her teammates. She has the tools to have an impressive summer, garner some attention from college coaches, and make a name for herself.
