Quinn Vice Quinn Vice 6’3″ | PF Pleasant Valley | 2025 State IA is a promising prospect out of Pleasant Valley high school. Vice, a 6’2 center, saw the floor a decent amount last season on the way to her high school’s first state championship but this winter, that all changes. Vice is going to have to take over most of the minutes of the center position for her Spartan group in their attempts to run it back as state champs this upcoming winter. A challenge that Vice is more than ready for. Her size, understanding of her teammates, and her skill are the real deal. Over the next two years I expect Vice’s game to evolve into something that will be spoken about state-wide on a regular basis. She just has to stay dedicated and keep working hard.
Highlights
#27. Brooklyn Valley Brooklyn Valley 5'6" | PG Hampton-Dumont-CAL | 2025 State IA – Hampton-Dumont-CAL High School
Brooklyn Valley Brooklyn Valley 5’6″ | PG Hampton-Dumont-CAL | 2025 State IA , twin sister of Jordan Valley Jordan Valley 5’6″ | SG Hampton-Dumont-CAL | 2025 State IA , is another player to know going forward in the 2025 class. She is a player that shows a superior passing ability with the ball in her hands when she is running the offense. On top of that, she is also a pretty accurate three point shooter off of the catch, when given the opportunity. Her handles are better than most around her and she gives maximum effort on every possession. The Valley twins are going to bring something special to the court this winter and I’m here for it.
#36. Katelyn Aden Katelyn Aden 6'0" | CG Carroll | 2025 State IA – Carroll High School
Katelyn Aden Katelyn Aden 6’0″ | CG Carroll | 2025 State IA starts off in the 2025 rankings at #36 but I don’t expect her to stay here too long. The 6’2 small forward has a fairly high ceiling from what I’ve seen her display. She has the ability to spread the floor and score from behind the arc consistently, she can score near the basket over anyone smaller then her, she can defend any position 1-5 in high school ball, and she is a player that other teams need to strategize for when they are about to matchup in the future. I’m not sure if I’ll have a chance to see Aden before the high school starts this winter but no matter, she is going to keep doing her thing and killing it.
#40. Ellie Olson Ellie Olson 5'9" | CG Dowling Catholic | 2025 State IA – Dowling Catholic High School
Ellie Olson Ellie Olson 5’9″ | CG Dowling Catholic | 2025 State IA is going to get a little bit more of a chance to step up this winter at Dowling Catholic high school and she is ready for it. Olson, a 5’10 combo guard, has had a nice spring and shown off that she can hold her own on a competitive court consistently. She works well on and off of the ball while making the most of every opportunity she gets. I’m hoping to see her show her confidence the rest of this summer with her Waukee Jam girls basketball team, leading into this winter. If she does that, she is going to bring some interest in the near future moving forward.
#56. Adeeya Yanga Adeeya Yanga 6'0" | PF Storm Lake | 2025 State IA – Storm Lake High School
Adeeya Yanga Adeeya Yanga 6’0″ | PF Storm Lake | 2025 State IA is one of those players that you can say hasn’t “put it together” quite yet but she has the ability to do so. Yanga is a lengthy forward who gets a lot of action near the basket. She rebounds well, protects the paint, and gives a great effort on every possession. If she continues to work on her coordination and touch when it comes to handling the basketball, she is going to be a problem. When she keeps it simple she can score over most other players in the state of Iowa, without a doubt. I’m excited to see what the future holds with Yanga. She is a solid talent with a good head on her shoulders. With the right guidance, she is going to put it together and make something of it before her high school career comes to a close.
