Kate Stevens Kate Stevens PF Millard North | 2025 State NE put together a few nice games over the weekend to help her Omaha Supreme AAU team go undefeated with a 5-0 record. Stevens is a nicely sized power forward, who shows a lot of promise on the floor. She moves on and off of the ball well, while being able to out rebound most other players near the basket. She shows hard work and the willingness to learn from her coaches and the teammates around her on a consistent basis. Something college coaches and recruiters love to see. This winter Stevens will lace up for Millard North high school once more and I expect her to see a lot varsity time. Last season she saw the floor in every game they played and she had some decent numbers. I’m hoping after this AAU season she can keep up this momentum right into the school year. Something that is more than do-able.
Alexis Hecht Alexis Hecht 5’8″ | SG Wamego | 2026 State KS was a player that put up some really big numbers over the past weekend for her ETG Midwest 15U 3SSB team. Hecht is a quick shooting guard with the ability to score in waves if the defense doesn’t step up. Once she gets on a roll, she can be hard to stop, especially with her ability to see the open floor and make a good pass to an open teammate. Over the past 8 games Hecht averaged 15 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 4 APG, and 3.4 SPG. Not to mention that she had a game scoring 32 points on 7-10 shooting from behind the arc. Some pretty impressive numbers when you consider that Hecht is playing up a year and she is still the most consistent player on this team. Moving forward, I’m expecting to write about Hecht a few more times before her high school career comes to an end. She plays high school ball out in Kansas and is sure to be making a big impact this upcoming winter.

Addison Medeck Addison Medeck 6’2″ | PF Papillion LV South | 2027 NE , the going-to-be freshman at Papillion-La Vista this upcoming season, is going to be a handful in the high school basketball world. A few weeks ago I did a write up about Medeck and how good she could be moving forward. Well, this past weekend she showed off all her skills, on both side of the floor. The most impressive being her rebounding ability. In one game she scored 17 points and grabbed 16 boards, while averaging 8.1 PPG and 9.4 RPG in their last 8 contests. This fall it’s going to be very challenging when it comes to ranking this 2027 class. There are so many special talents that are years above their age level, all bunched up in this one class in Nebraska. It’ll be interesting to see where Medeck shows up in those rankings the first time around but no matter what that number is, she won’t be satisfied and will keep working on her craft.
Maddie Vickery Maddie Vickery 6’1″ | PF Washburn Rural | 2027 State KS showed off to me this weekend that she has good size, good skill, and a whole lot of versatility. Her natural body size gives her an advantage at the hoop against smaller players and her skill gives her an advantage when she catches outside of the three point line. This weekend Vickery was scoring a little here and a little there, rebounding on both sides of the floor, and recording a ton of blocks throughout each and every contest. Her averages throughout her past 8 games is as follows: 7.6 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 3 BPG. Being only a 2027, to average 3 blocks PER GAME, on an elite circuit like 3SSB, is something to take notice in. That alone is a crazy stat line to hold. I’m expecting slow but steady improvement from Vickery during her high school career. If she can do that, and keep up with her conditioning, we are looking at a player with a shot at a D1 scholarship someday in the near future.

Every time I seem to do an article with these programs an Iowan always sneaks in. This time it is Lynnae Green Lynnae Green 6’1″ | PF Shenandoah | 2025 State IA of Shenandoah high school. Green is a 6’2 forward/center that controls the paint when she is in the game. As you can imagine she is a dominate rebounder, that uses her size and strength to her advantage anytime she can. For her size she moves really well, while getting up and down the floor in a hurry. Currently, I have Green ranked as #80 in the 2025 class throughout the state of Iowa but that’s going to change coming up here shortly. She has put together some really nice weekends as of late scoring and rebounding efficiently near the basket. As long as she can keep all of this up and stay consistent yet aggressive, she is going to continue to see steady success moving forward, in every category on the floor.
