You can’t write a piece about strong Power Forwards during a NCAA Live Period without Addison Medeck out of Nebraska. It’s hard not to notice the success of Medeck at her size. She stands at 6’2, moves like a guard, and has a strong frame to dominate any matchup that is put in her way by the bucket. If we are talking about players on the Women’s side with size and strength at the high school level right now, I wouldn’t pick many over Medeck and when you consider she has other older siblings who are also tall, athletic, and college athletes, you start to see the bigger picture here overall. I expect Medeck to handle business per usual this year on the road. She is the anchor for her 17U team in the middle with ETG so as long as she steps onto the floor mentally locked in, who knows where it might lead to later on.

The top player in our 2027 rankings had a huge opening weekend on the adidas circuit. She was in double figures in three of four contests, while recording a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds in a 54-45 loss to the New York Gauchos. She also scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 52-50 win over Lady Phenom United. Medeck averaged 18 points and seven rebounds over the four-game stretch in Texas.

Medeck, the 6’2 PF, is going to be a treat for whichever college she ends up committing to. We are talking about a Post player with natural size, a soft touch, coordinated footwork, physicality, and the ability to step out to expand the floor if need be. Not to mention, she is a relentless worker on the defensive end, being someone who consistently rebounds and alters shots whenever opposing teams try to get into the paint. Medeck holds several P4 offers at this time so it all comes down to which place feels like home the most at the end of the day. No matter where that might be, she should produce when her number is finally called.

Medeck is a monster in the middle. She stands at 6’2, she has size, physicality, balanced coordination, and an aggressive edge to her play-style. Offensively, she can be the type that dominates with her strength or she can hit her defender with a few crafty moves to create an open look at the bucket. Defensively, someone that opposing teams have to worry about. If not, she is going to end the game as the MVP just because of her defensive ability. All in all, whoever gets Medeck is getting someone who will be able to produce at that P4 D1 level. Especially in the the right system that will compliment her play-style.

Medeck was just invited out to Cali to compete in a National camp hosted by some big names. If she does well out there, it’s only going to add to her resume at this point. The teams around the Midwest know what Medeck brings to the hardwood as a 6’2 PF. She is extremely productive now whenever she competes and that should stay consistent moving into the college ranks as well.

Medeck is a Post, that all coaches love to work with. She is dominant with her back to the basket offensively, while being a defensive stopper inside the middle of the lane with her mixture of height and physicality. With another solid year under her belt on the road, Medeck is ready to put together a complete high school over the next six months. If she continues to build on her game, someone at the D1 level is going to be pretty lucky when she ends up committing but for now she will hold onto our #1 spot for this Class.

A.M. averaged 14.3 PPG & 7 RPG at the PF position. Medeck is always called to control the paint with her mixture of height, physicality, balanced athletic ability, and soft touch. Offensively, she can be the one who kills opponents under the hoop with her back to the basket or she can rebound at a high rate and convert. Defensively, someone you have to worry about. She can stick on someone her size or she can switch and keep pace with smaller guards. We saw all of this, this weekend in South Carolina – helping her team to a Gold Bracket Championship in the 17U age division.

Medeck, the 6’2 Forward, has the attention of several P4 programs across the Country. Her mixture of size, strength, coordination, smarts, and physicality is second-to-none out on the floor. She also communicates well, is coach-able, and plays like a team player more than anything else. Her back to the basket ability to not worthy and she can also step out to bang a jumper if she is given time/space. IT wouldn’t surprise me if Medeck stayed close to home for college ball but we still have some time for that decision to come so until then, she is going to keep doing her thing – putting up impactful numbers on any floor on a consistent basis.

Coming off of the past few weeks and Medeck has received multiple D1 offers. One to NIU in Illinois and one to Marquette in Milwaukee. Medeck has that size, strength, physicality, and coordinated balance every coach loves to see. She can play inside to out and really make a difference going toward the basket on each side of the ball. She is the type you have to know about or consider when game planning or else she could have a record setting day. All in all, Medeck has been really productive this Spring and she keeps making waves whenever possible. 

I’m sure that Addison Medeck Addison Medeck 6'2" | PF Papillion LV South | 2027 State NE is gaining interest by the second this weekend in Bryan, Texas at the 3SSB event. Medeck has been making her presence known with her physical stature each contest this weekend. She is moving really well, using her soft touch to convert near the bucket. She is punishing smaller defenders that might have to switch onto her on the blocks. She is passing out of the post to open three pointer shooters around the arc with ease. All while being someone that others teams HAVE to be aware of while they attack or else it’s going to turn into a block party. Medeck has been checking off a lot of boxes this weekend per usual. If she keeps it up, I’m sure P4 offers will follow.
