The [program_tooltip program_id='715312' first='Houston' last='Lady Nets'] won a terrific battle to capture the 17U Dynasty Region Championship this past night over a very physical [program_tooltip program_id='712424' first='Kansas' last='Bluejays'] squad. Both landed two players on the tournament first team.
[player_tooltip player_id='417979' first='DaNae' last='Crosby'], 5'5", SG, [program_tooltip program_id='715158' first='Team' last='Stay Ready'], Braswell (TX), 2024 - Strongly built and athletic Crosby owns a smooth quick jumper off the catch. She has consistent speed transitioning each way and is always looking for the ball. With it, finishing through contact on each side of the rim with either hand is not uncommon. Nor is her racking up another traditional three point play.

[player_tooltip player_id='398382' first='Heaven' last='Gilbert'], 6'0", C/PF, Wichita Heights (KS), [program_tooltip program_id='712424' first='Kansas' last='Bluejays'], 2025 - Yes she did throw an opposing big out of bounds while competing for a rebound. No she did not realize she did it nor was doing so intentional. Gilbert is strong, competitive, and is good size and mobility. She has good transition speed and terrific hands. She has a really good mid-range game that is fun to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='677559' first='Savannah' last='Lee Ketchum'], 6'2", C, Valley Springs (AR), JSquad, 2026 - With good length and strength Ketchum stood out with a really good, small, old school skill - using her body to protect the ball on scoring attempts around the hoop. Doing so enables her to pitch a tent at the free throw line at times. Definitely my first person out in terms of setting an event first team.

[player_tooltip player_id='626247' first='Eileen' last='Sanders'], 5'5", PG, Brennan (TX), [program_tooltip program_id='715116' first='Lady' last='Arnold Elite'], 2025 - Among the little skills I like to see from ball handlers is the ability to use their off arm to protect the dribble. And since she has quick hands, defenders have some real difficulty getting to the ball even in traffic.

[player_tooltip player_id='510469' first='Kennedy' last='Simpson'], 5'9", Summer Creek (TX) [program_tooltip program_id='715312' first='Houston' last='Lady Nets'], 2026 - Simpson is just stupid fast with the ball. An athletic finisher, she is also a very consistent mid-range and perimeter shooter.
