Last AAU season, Boinski ran around screens and took her fair share of three-pointers. This season, she did much more than she did last summer. I thought she did an outstanding job attacking the rim off the catch, and she got to the rim as much as anyone else in AAU ball in Wisconsin at any age level. Boinski’s ability to manufacture points by getting to the line and making her free throws improves any offense she plays in, and I’m eager to see how what she does plays at Catholic Memorial next year.
Violet Otto
In the biggest surprise win of the AAU season, Team Wisconsin Magic knocked off North Tartan ‘s 15u EYBL team, and Otto’s shooting was the main reason why that occurred. The Prescott native caught fire from the three-point line, making seven, and opened the floor for her teammates. Her team kept running simple flair screens for her to get open, and she couldn’t miss, especially in the second half.
Whether her team is playing well, poorly, or somewhere in between, Moore is one of the steadiest kids I’ve seen in the 2026 class in the Midwest. I love how well she finishes around the rim through contact, even though she’s not the most physically imposing guard you’ll find. Guards like her, who are consistent high-level performers, are extremely valuable, and as I got to watch that group a handful of times over the past few months, I became more fond of what she brings to the floor every time I saw her.
Aspen Abel
Abel played her best basketball late in July. I thought she did a solid job of playing quickly and making good decisions on the wing. Abel looked like a mature wing ready for high-level basketball at Beaver Dam this upcoming season. She made over 41% of her three-pointers last season on low volume but has continued to shoot it well this summer. She has a chance to step into a prominent role if things happen to break her way. I have loved what I’ve seen from her with her Purple Aces group.
