She was the team’s second-leading scorer, averaging 8 points per game while shooting nearly 40% from three. Maddy played a key role in helping Mercy capture the 24th District title, win the 6th Region, and make a Sweet 16 appearance. Maggie is young but already has a ton of game experience after seeing the floor in every game for Assumption last season. An efficient scorer at the point guard spot, Young put up shooting splits of 44-42-79 as a Freshman and those numbers are indicative that she could be ready for a much bigger role this year for an Assumption squad that is looking to get back to the top of the 7th region.
