Sydney Bode
Sydney Bode
Bode was impressive from start to finish. The length stands out immediately and when you mix that with her soft touch around the rim you get a major paint threat. The passing ability was her main skill that impressed me the most. The confidence of the passing, the vision and timing to lead her player to an easy finish.. but the passing angles on her give and go were amazing. She creates enough space and attention on her passes that she’s able to make the perfect cut to receive it back. Defensively, shes a threat for the entire court. Major potential.
The pure athleticism alone was more than any guard can handle.. but she’s on those rare players who have been able to find the balance of both athleticism and skill. Her pull-up are fluid, her body control on attacking the rim is strong, and her defensive awareness to cover space and block shots before they reach their peak.. is something that is worth noting. Her demeanor was what capped it off. Never to high, never to low. Great teammate. She’s a special talent with a big future.
The confidence Lisch has can’t be missed. She gets to the rim with purpose, can knockdown the open jumper just as well as she can off the dribble. High arching shot but they fall at a high rate. In multiple games over the weeeknd, Hannah showed her ability to be versatile i by impacting the game in multiple facets. Can be the primary playmaker or scorer, or can take th backseat and help her team secure wins by doing the little things.
No matter what gym or what game Bryant is in.. she continues to impress me. Her skill set is wide.. the ability to shoot the long ball, get to the rim and finish, and make plays with or without the ball are key things as well. However it’s the hustle, the energy, the motor and the heart that she plays with. She just simply loves to play basketball. One thing in particular that needs to be highlighted, was her respect for the officials.. even after tough calls, she went over and had great conversations with them.. allowing them to explain their reasons for a call. This kid is no where near her peak.
Highlights
The talent she possess was far ahead then a majority of the players that were in the building this past weekend, and she put on a show in most games. Her game has tremendous pace, but shes explosive and quick. Her shooting ability is top tier and even after some tough blocked shots, she never lost confidence in herself. She plays the game fluid, loose and with her head up. Great potential.
