Watching Chloe with her NJ Demons team showed me another side of her game. With Rutgers Prep she plays more off the ball spotting up as all-everything guard Mikayla Blakes Mikayla Blakes 5’8″ | SG Rutgers Prep | 2024 State NJ runs the show. In Louisville, Chloe showed the full range of her offensive game. She was in control of the offense calling out and getting her team into sets. Should showed good skills off the bounce, getting into the lane and finishing with both hands. She takes good angles on her attack and truly led her team to a comeback from being down double digits while I was watching. She still flashed the 3-point range she’s known for at Rutgers Prep on several occasions. Defensively, Chloe was aggressive on the ball and created several turnovers that led to either easy layups for her or her teammates by keeping her head up in transition and distributing the ball. After seeing this offensive versatility, I can see Chloe being part of the solution to replace Katie Ledden and the 400+ points she scored last season.

Lauren handles the ball like a classic PG. She sets up the offense and doesn’t initiate until everyone is where she wants them to be. She handles the ball with a lot of composure for her NJ Raptors 2025 E40 team and is always in control. When she’s off the ball she showed a smooth stroke from the 3-point line and did a good job creating space for girls to get downhill and drive and kick to her. Defensively, her strongest skill I saw was in help D on drives or against the post by using active hands to knock away balls on drives to the hoop. She turned those steals into layups for her team. After two years at Lodi Immaculate she will be moving to Hudson Catholic where she’ll join a young talented roster and she should fit right in.
Where teammate Lauren Gentile Lauren Gentile 5’6″ | PG Hudson Catholic | 2025 State NJ plays like the offensive floor general for the NJ Raptors 2025 E40 squad, Tatyanna is clearly the defensive floor general for this squad. She plays very good on the ball defense but her off the ball defense showed that she is thinking like a leader. She was watching plays develop and thinking a pass ahead which led to Tatyanna getting a lot of steals. It’s no surprise she averaged just under 2 spg as a freshman for a Bayonne HS team that will bring back 6 of its top 7 scorers from last year’s Group 4 State Championship squad. She pushes the ball in transition and is a crafty finisher in the paint. When on the wing she crashes the boards hard when shots go up and is not afraid to rebound amongst the big trees. Tatyanna’s overall production should jump in her sophomore year.
Sophia plays with a motor the entire time she is on the court. In transition and in the half court when she gets a lane to the basket, she is tough to stop. She is very smart reading the defenders on the way to the hoop and mixes up her gathers to avoid defenders knocking the ball loose. When she gets to the rim, she has a deadly spin move and plenty of other moves to get the ball in the hoop. She shot the deep ball with the most consistency I have seen all AAU season and her lefty stroke was just as deadly from the free throw line. She definitely wants to drive to her left, but defenders haven’t figured her out yet. She handled the point more than in past tournaments for her United 15U Select 40 squad and she was clearly their best option to handle pressure in the back court. Sophia is an active aggressive defender and blocks a lot of shots for a guard in addition to being a strong rebounder. When she gets defensive rebounds, she flies up the court in transition looking for buckets. Averaging just under 10ppg and 4rpg per game as a freshman at Ridge HS I’d expect a big jump in numbers after a strong AAU season.
