SubscribeRun 4 The Roses is a premier event where players can make very loud statements about their game. Plenty of players did just that. We’re continuing our series of looks at statement makers from the event. You can see Part 1 and Part 2 below!
Kerley sent a message loud and clear about her improved and diversified offensive game. She drew contact, go the line and delivered from there. Kerley also showed 3 point range on her jumper. She really made the defense account for her on all parts of the floor.

Zajac was in an early returns article about Run 4 The Roses, but she deserves to be here again. Zajac was just special at the event. She absolutely battled under the rim with unbeatable power and toughness. Zajac has the potential to be one of the better prospects in the midwest.
Jungwirth continually shows her skills and game off and did so once again. She was and is a total matchup nightmare. Her strength, ball skills and versatility were tough to match up with in Kentucky. Jungwirth was solid on the glass and defensively.
I love what Armstrong did at Run 4 The Roses. Players are told time and time again, the best way to score is to be a great passer. Well, that was Armstrong over the weekend. She moved the ball and found teammates, which in turn freed her up. When the ball came back, she showed that she could bury a jumper with range beyond the arc.
Scouts and next level coaches aren’t just focused on offense and points scored. We know an elite defender when we see one. Mericle fit that bill, like she always seems to, at Run 4 The Roses. She keeps a low base and takes pride in locking up the opponents top option on the perimeter.
Highlights
I’ve been Michigan based in the series so far, but let’s look a little to the south at a player from Indiana. Oman was lights out at Run 4 The Roses. Her weekend was highlighted with a 26 point performance. In that game, Oman shot a blistering 7-10 from 3 point range and 9-12 from the field.
Wallace was a highly influential player on both ends at Run 4 The Roses. It wasn’t that she just made plays, but she made big plays. Wallace forced turnovers on defense and showed the she can defend the entire length of the floor. She continued her hot shooting from behind the arc at the event.
