Thursday, we released the Summer rankings update for the Class of 2024. The number of prospects listed grew from 200 to 225 total prospects, and while the Top-100 remained a Top-100, the 100-player watchlist became a 125-player watchlist. At this time, I wanted to highlight all of the centers in the Class of 2024 we have listed at this time, as well as highlight a handful of ladies who raised their stock or were newly added this time around.

NEW-COMERS:
Brooklyn is best defined as being solid. She has a solid to strong frame, she is a solid athlete in most directions, and she is consistently productive at both ends of the floor each time out. She can sit down and post, she has solid hands and feet, and she can score it with her back to the basket. She has a solid mid-post game as well facing the basket, and she can put it on the floor one to two dribbles and get somewhere. Defensively, she plays with a really nice motor, and she has a real nose for the ball. I feel like she can come in and help several of the Midwest’s small colleges.
While I have had Jasmine’s name in my personal database for a couple of years, I finally saw her for the first time back in April, and she was extremely intriguing. She certainly needs to get stronger and continue developing her all-around skillset, but she has tremendous length, fluidity athletically, and she runs the floor well North/South. She seemed to play with a nice motor, and she tried to play through contact, despite being more of a wiry prospect. I feel like she possesses enough traits you can’t teach, so she could really take off and make an impact in college.
Dakota is another intriguing prospect who is all upside right now. She is extremely long, wiry-strong, fairly fluid, and somewhat bouncy. She plays with a nice energy and runs the floor well, plus she tries to battle each possession. She will need to keep getting stronger to absorb contact better, plus she’s still somewhat limited to about 10-feet and in offensively right now, but she looks like her best years are well in front of her. Additionally, she does create a presence offensively, as she uses her length well to defend out on the floor, plus she can protect the rim.

STOCK-RISERS:
Rachel is a nice-sized, fluidly athletic post, who runs the floor well, has face-up skill, and plays with a motor. She was initially homeschooled, enrolled at Center Grove as a Sophomore, and this past season on a team that stresses multiple scorers and patient possessions, she averaged a solid 6.2 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. While those numbers might not “pop”, they were a good percentage of her team’s production. Back in May, she had an outstanding showing in Texas during the “live” period, and it turned into an offer (and eventual commitment) from Villanova.
Tia has drawn a great deal of attention this Summer, because she absolutely looks the part. She is very long, athletically strong, and she moves well and has great bounce for a prospect her size. However, she is a talented Division-I volleyball prospect who will likely commit in that sport sometime soon. On the basketball court, she is a rim protector, she can defend a little out on the floor, she is a nice pursuing rebounder at her size, and she has done a nice job of adding skill offensively. She is a full-scholarship basketball prospect, if she decides to choose that route.
Lauryn missed a lot of time with a knee injury, but she came back this Spring and has looked better and better each week. By July, she is nearly 100% of her old self, and she is starting to earn attention/offers from NAIA Crossroads League schools. She has continued to grow throughout high school, she has nice length, and she is starting to get stronger and play more physical around the block. She does have some skill facing the basket in the mid-post and short corners, but at 6-4, she is a matchup problem down low. She also acts as a really nice rim protector.
