Jessica was highly active in the paint, mostly on the glass and on defense. She was very dominant on the boards throughout the weekend, and if stats were being taken, I am sure she would have been a double-digit rebounder in several games. She impacted the game without scoring, but on this squad, she really did not have to provide production in the scoring column. She functioned within her role, and the impact of that was not so much seen on the stat sheet. She showed her capacity to be a utility player, which is just as important as a playmaker or a scorer.

Kylie was tough off the bounce and showed her ability to finish in traffic and thru contact. She was very productive off the bounce, putting up double-digit points in several contests. She was active on the floor and really showed her ability to run the floor and finish in transition. She rebounded well and was a relentless competitor throughout the weekend. She took advantage of the stage and showed that she was talented enough to garner some attention from the next level.

Vernell Atamah (6’0/PF/’24/Urban Heros 17U)

Vernell was very active and had a solid all-around game. She is a listed PF that plays extremely physical in the interior yet showed that she can handle the rock in the open floor. She often secured the defensive board and started the break. When she was out in transition, she was looking to go coast to coast, but when she had to give it up, she made good decisions with the rock. At times she played like a point-forward as she initiated the offense. Overall she was the epitome of a do-it-all forward.

Hannah Carr (5’6/PG/’24/Hoop Shop 17u National)

Hannah is a lead guard that impacted the game on both ends of the floor. Offensively she orchestrated the offense and created open looks for teammates off the bounce. Her play and playmaking skills bring out the best in her teammates. She plays like a coach on the floor, excels at running the offense, and has the keys to her squad. As mentioned, she impacts both ends of the floor, and defensively, she applies a lot of pressure on ball-handlers which often disrupts what opposing teams are trying to do.
Taylor Fohey (6’0/PF|C/’24/Missouri Phenom)

Taylor is a low-block presence that some would say is undersized, but she left her mark on the games she played with high energy and effort levels that she brought to the floor. She was very aggressive on the low block, and the defense had to keep an account of her maneuvering in the paint. She is not the caliber player that will contest and alter a lot of shots, but she has good recovery mobility that puts her body in the ball-handlers path of attacks. She is at her best when she is planted in the paint, scoring off drop-offs and put-backs and defending aggressively around the rim.
Jazelle Scott (5’3/PG/’26/Player First 15u Ward)

Twitter: @jazelle_scott
Jazelle is a young PG that showed a lot of promise. She is the epitome of a floor general and showed a good feel for the lead guard position. She is a reliable ball-handler that doesn’t over-dribble and keeps the ball moving, which keeps her team’s offense fluid. Jazelle showed that she can really shoot the ball from deep, has good shot selection, and is very efficient with the long ball. Her ability to knock down the trey ball caused defenders to play up close which led to Jazelle being able to get by defenders that were concerned with her perimeter shooting. She makes her teammates better as she showed her pass-first mindset and ability to set the table on the offensive end of the court.
