Here is the KingCO 3A conference. This is just some of them, there will be more players who have big seasons.
Caitlin Monahan Caitlin Monahan 5'11" | CG Mercer Island | 2024 State WA – 2024 – Mercer Island HS
Caitlin was Mercer Island’s top player last season, almost averaging 20 points a game. She is a great ball handler and facilitates the offense smoothly. She is a phenomenal shooter from deep, landing over 40-45% of her threes that she took and she wasn’t shy when letting them fly. She plays great defense, always staying alert and on her toes. She is a player you should keep an eye on.
Paige Citron Paige Citron 5'7" | CG Lake Washington | 2025 State WA – 2025 – Lake Washington HS
Lake Washington has been stacked with talent but Paige has been able to showcase what she can do on the court still. She will have a bigger role next season and will be relied on more in big time moments. She’s shown her ability to facilitate the offense and handle the ball really well. Last year her shot was very consistent and she played fantastic defense. She is a player to watch for player of the year.
Ella Whitaker Ella Whitaker 5'7" | SG Liberty | 2025 State WA – 2025 – Liberty HS
Ella had a great sophomore season last year, showcasing to everyone she is one of the top shooters in the entire state. She can shoot it from very deep, being able to step 2/3 feet beyond the line. She boards the ball extremely good for a guard, especially standing at around 5’7″. She facilitates the offense nicely and has been relied on quite a bit on the court, but she handles it very well.
Selene Morrell Selene Morrell 5'10" | SF Bellevue | 2024 WA – 2024 – Bellevue HS
Selene stands at 5’10” and has a very high basketball IQ. Her footwork down low in the paint is very steady as she can stay under control. She sets solid screens and works off the pick and roll efficiently. Defensively, she holds her own against her opponents, not giving anyone an easy bucket. She is aggressive on the class, being able to contain the ball smoothly and pull down 8-10 boards a game.
Ashley Uusitalo Ashley Uusitalo 5'9" | SG Lake Washington | 2026 State WA – 2026 – Lake Washington HS
Ashley contributed right away during her freshman campaign, playing a key role in the team right from the beginning. She showed her ability to score at the varsity level at a high rate, easily getting to the bucket and hitting her shots. She was one of the main scorers on the team, dropping about 10-12 points a game. She is going to become a top player in the entire state, regardless of class.
AC Chavez AC Chavez 5'11" | PF Lake Washington | 2026 State WA – 2026 – Lake Washington HS
With Lake Washington losing some key pieces to their squad who has been one of the top teams in the entire state. AC stands at 5’11” and could very much play a big part of this offense as a post for the team. She sets strong screens and rolls to the basket well. She will have a lot to prove on the court this year, but I think will take advantage of more minutes on the court.
