Holloway had a great summer for her Grassroots squad. Mila picked up several offers along the way. She’s quite shifty with the ball in her hands and really does a great job of making her teammates happy with her crisp passing skills.
Mila has great court awareness and excels in the open court getting the ball to the cup. She seems to be one-step ahead of the defenders at times when she is getting the ball downhill to the cup. Holloway is back at Legacy Early College this season and helping to lead the Lions backcourt with fellow mates Trinity Vance Trinity Vance 5’10” | SG Legacy Early College | 2024 State SC and recently added Jaida Cameron Jaida Cameron 5’7″ | PG Legacy Early College | 2024 State SC .
Gray has been a mainstay for the Lady Falcons since her freshman season for the Columbia based school. Terriana seems to be at her best while in attack mode to the cup and getting the ball downhill at times. She’s extremely active on the defensive end of the floor with her ability to pick up steals in the passing lanes.
Gray plays the game to the fullest at all times with her great length and willingness to win. She helped SC Future to back-to-back championships in Louisville, KY this past July.
Abercrombie is the Class 4A State Player of the Year from last season at Wade Hampton HS in Greenville. She ran with a local Grassroots squad in the SC Lady Sixers . Quinasia excels in getting the ball to the bucket. She really likes to play the downhill game along with excelling in transition.
Abercrombie NEVER takes a play-off while on the floor and brings great athleticism to the table. She still must develop some more perimeter skills down the road. Quinasia picked up an offer this summer from South Carolina State University. Abercrombie can explode in bunches when it comes to scoring the ball.
Hutchinson is in her last go around and her final year of high school. Tamya has won 2 SCISA State Championships the past few years at Hilton Head Christian. She started her career in the 7th grade which was the first-time Prep Girls Hoops saw her play for Estill HS.
Tamya is constantly all over the floor and scoring the ball at the rim. She brings havoc and chaos to the floor with her ability to generate steals in the open floor. Hutchinson seems to be at her best when attacking and getting the ball downhill to the basket. She already has scored over 2,448 career points entering her senior season. Tamya picked up offers from South Carolina State University and Claflin University (SC) – NCAA D2 this summer.
Crawford runs the show for the Lady Bearcats in the Upstate for Head Coach Kenny Orr. De’Ashaj is a pure point guard who can get the ball into the paint and find the open teammate. She’s a pass first guard who likes to get downhill at times.
De’Ashaj doesn’t look to force the issue with her passing skills as she always seems to make the right decision. She switches hands very nicely and feels comfortable finishing with both around the basket. Can the Lady Bearcats be the team to watch out for in Class 5A this season in the Upstate?
