Draughn is new to the Midlands and SCISA basketball this coming season. Teonna has already played 3 seasons of varsity basketball at Hemingway HS before transferring over to Cardinal Newman this summer. Draughn has played a bit off the radar over in Williamsburg County at the small Class 1A school. Teonna started as a 7th grader for the Lady Tigers
Teonna played this summer with SC Future on the Grassroots Circuit. Draughn has a knack to the score the ball from all 3 levels on the floor. She will attack the gaps and drop a floater from time to time when not knocking down jumpers on the perimeter. Teonna will be a nice addition to a very much improved Lady Cardinals program this season for Head Coach Coral Johnson.
Rush keeps getting better and better every time we see her play. Ava had a good spring and summer on the Grassroots Circuit with Team Curry. She brings the ability to knockdown shots on the perimeter with good size and length.
Rush a rangy forward can handle the rock up the floor and slash it to the basket at times. Ava a small forward feels quite comfortable playing out on the perimeter with her ability to knockdown the 3-point shot. Rush made a move this off season to Downtown Charleston and she will play at First Baptist this coming season. She previously attended Oceanside Collegiate Academy.
Highlights
Pouyat is not flashy with her play at all for the Lady Generals. Paige and her teammates brought home a SCISA Class 2A State Championship last February. She really sets the tone very nicely on the floor for her team.
She constantly plays under control and understands where everyone is supposed to be on the floor at all times. Pouyat is a pass first guard who directs traffic rarely turns the ball over. She has the ability to knockdown jumpers when open on the floor. She constantly plays the game very unselfish and almost to a fault at times it seems.
Can the Lady Generals make another run in SCISA Class 2A this coming season?
Highlights
Termini played well this summer when we caught her play in Charleston with WIN Academy. Lily plays down in the Lowcountry at John Paul II in Ridgeland. She constantly stays on the move around the floor and makes the most of her opportunities when given the chance to score the ball.
Termini has a nice mid-range game and a willingness to rebound the ball on both ends of the court. She at times plays bigger than her size. Lily also excels on the volleyball court in the fall for John Paul II.
Pricklemyer is a good athlete for the Lady Swamp Cats. She started on the softball team as an 8th and 9th grader. She certainly is not the quickest player on the floor but, she makes up with the determination and willingness to compete. Lyza hates to lose at anything she does. Lyza averaged 11.1 ppg last season for the Lady Swamp Cats second on the team. She really sees the floor well with her crafty passing skills and look for her to be one of the building blocks of this program moving forward for Head Coach Will Epps.
