Anya Davis, 5’7 G – Lone Wolf Athletics/Colchester H.S. Class of 2027
There aren’t many players I’ve seen that contain Anya. She’s a natural playmaker with her tough slashing and perceptive feeds, plus her jumper is coming to fruition, adding a whole other layer to her game. She’s a smart off-ball player too who knows how to exploit gaps. And on the defensive end she’s an absolute force; Anya locks in on-ball with her quickness + toughness and anticipates nicely off the rock. She’s got the tools and the intangibles.
Meg Allbee Meg Allbee 5'9" | PG Vermont Academy | 2027 New E , 5’8 G – Lone Wolf Athletics/Vermont Academy Class of 2027
Meg is a combo-guard who stays locked in to attack mode; Allbee’s ability to make plays both on the ball and off is evident. She moves intuitively off the rock and creates scoring from there. Then, with the ball in her hands she plays well off the catch, exploding to the rack, knocking down the jumper, or snapping another pass to keep it moving. On the other end there’s no let up. She defends multiple positions, moves wisely to help and hits the glass. So solid.
Emma Maley, 5’6 G – Blueprint Basketball/Burlington H.S. Class of 2027
Impressively skilled, Emma’s ballhandling and shooting standout. Maley’s already a strong scorer with her jumper which she can knock down from all over the floor, and her inside finishing continues to improve. She sees the floor well too, making the smart play to advance the ball or she’ll set up teammates with savvy feeds in the halfcourt. A gritty and smart defender, Maley already has a two-way presence that shines bright.
Abby Nystrom, 5’5 G – Lone Wolf Athletics/Bellows Falls Class of 2027
From what I’ve seen of Abby, she’s got a mindset that can separate her from the pack. Nystrom’s smarts and high-level motor are quickly clear, yet she’s also very skilled. Abby can pick apart defenses with her court vision, attacking gaps both with and without the ball, and she finishes her looks with efficiency with her wise decision making. Considerably tough and agile defensively, Abby’s two-way game is not to be overlooked.
Colleen Sonnick, 5’11 W/F – Essex Sting/Essex H.S. Class of 2027
While Colleen is still a bit raw, her skillset and play fit the modern game quite well. The southpaw is developing a versatile skillset; she’s a big at heart who plays the post, protects the rim and rebounds well. Yet she can push the ball in transition, slash from the perimeter, and her jumper is coming along too. Her trajectory is that of the modern 3/4 forward; a player with good size who has the inside/out skillset. Keep tabs.
Mesa Long, 5’11 F – Mount Mansfield Union H.S. Class of 2027
Efficient and intuitive, Mesa understands the game pretty well already. Long’s movement around the post is natural, she has good hands, and a few go-to moves with counters to finish from the block. Yet she can also step out to the short corner or high post and make a play from there. And defensively she plays physical. Her post presence is strong, she rebounds it well, and her paint protection is there with her length and anticipation. I like her upside a lot.
