Right now, she puts a lot of time into volleyball, which is understandable. She may have an opportunity at a volleyball scholarship. Before she completely considers that, though, she will have a choice. Adkins, definitely, can help a college team on the hardwood. She causes havoc on defense with her length and athleticism. She can get into passing lanes and block shots. On the offensive end, she’s always a threat to drop 24 points in her game with her 3-point shot. If there is somewhere I would like to see her improve, it is in her aggressiveness in getting to the basket. With her length, she’s a threat to get a good shot at the basket and receive a foul and a free throw.
9 Kynna Britton Kynna Britton 5'10" | CG Sissonville | 2025 State WV , Sissonville, CG, 5-10, Jr. – Britton does so many different things for the Sissonville Indians. She scores, she leads, she teaches, and she wins. Maybe, she doesn’t do all those things at once. But, she does enough of a mix of them that she always stands out. She’s a tough kid that can drive the lane for a quick shot. She hits her open jumpers, and she’s ferocious on defense.
8 Allie Daniels Allie Daniels 6'1" | PF Spring Valley | 2025 State WV , Spring Valley, PF, 6-1, Jr. – Daniels contributes many different things to her Spring Valley Timberwolves and West Virginia Thunder Select 40 group. It’s difficult to count them all on one hand. On offense, she’s a solid option down on the block. She can finish on either side of the basket and can pop out for a quick jumper with consistency. Of course, she’s a strong rebounder and can still reach for rebounds if she is boxed out, which is rare. Defensively, she’s a deterrent too many people who would drive down the lane. She’s still developing a feel for blocks, but she does not swat and can move her feet with her defenders.
7 Lacee Smith Lacee Smith 5'6" | SG Huntington St. Joe | 2025 State WV , Huntington St. Joe, SG, 5-6, Jr. – Smith isn’t done climbing in the rankings. She could possibly be the top 5 by the winter rankings. Even through an injury, she still owns plenty of the tools that made her standout at Huntington in her freshman year. Her strength remains her greatest strength. Perhaps that sounds weird, but she’s s tough player who can drive the lane, shoot a three, and finish against multiple types of opponents. She’s explosive with her play anywhere on the floor.
6 Haylen Cook Haylen Cook 5'9" | PG Linsly | 2025 State WV , Linsly, 5-9, PG, Jr. – With Linsly, Cook gets the chance to show off her leadership skills and her ability to direct traffic on the floor. She’s the undisputed leader of her group. She makes good decisions. Passes don’t end up out of bounds, she shoots the ball when she needs to, and she’s a tough player.
