Laconia
Well, for most of the rotational kids, after two seasons, they’ve played in two state title games and brought home a gold ball from the Resch Center last season. I don’t see the Spartan train slowing down at all this season. I always talked about how it seemed like from the moment they lost the state title game in 2022, they looked like all they wanted to do, was win it next season. All the kids from Aubrey Leonard Aubrey Leonard 5'8" | PG Laconia | 2025 State WI , Payton Morgan Payton Morgan 5'10" | SG Laconia | 2025 State WI , Tierney Madigan Tierney Madigan 5'10" | SG Laconia | 2025 State WI , Callista VandeBerg, and Molly Duel seem to take losses personally, and one that I think will keep them motivated is the WLA loss. That loss meant they had to share the conference title last season, and they may get to another level chasing domination in the Flyway and D4.
Winnebago Lutheran Academy
The Vikings lost a unanimous first-team all-conference performer in Kiara Shea but have Lindsey Nell Lindsey Nell 5'11" | CG Winnebago Lutheran Academy | 2024 State WI and Abby Cole back for their senior seasons. Although Laconia will be the overwhelming favorites heading into 23-24, WLA still has a group of kids who’ve beaten the Spartans before, which shouldn’t get lost in the shuffle.
Omro
The Koch sisters are the keys to success this season. Julia was a second-team all-conference performer in her junior season and will play college ball if she chooses. Her younger sister, Ava, stays healthy, and the Foxes can continue to knock on the doors of teams like WLA and Laconia. The Kochs are a pair of talented guards who can make shots and swing the course of a game.
St. Mary’s Springs
The development of Gracie Knokol and Grace Coon will determine how good this Ledgers group will be this season. Now that Sydney Pitz is gone, those two will be the focal points of St. Mary’s Springs’ offense and play crucial roles in their season.
Lomira
Lomira only lost three seniors from their team last season and has a significant portion of their team back from last season.
North Fond du Lac
The Orioles are in a similar position as Lomira. Each team has their best scorers back from last season and has some continuity in their roster going into 23-24.
Mayville
The Cardinals look to continue building their program and find improvements.
Campbellsport
Campbellsport is in the same position as Mayville, looking to improve from within and build for the future.
