Ashlyn Flint
Ashlyn Flint
Flint has a motor! She executed the offensive strategy perfectly, working with her team and scoring when necessary. She attacked the basket and finished tough through contact. She has great passing skills for her age. On the defensive end, she came away with multiple steals from her on-the-ball defense.
McKenley “Mack” Reid
McKenley “Mack” Reid
I must say, Mack’s blocking skills are truly remarkable, especially considering her height of only 5’4″! She had multiple blocks against girls five or six inches taller than her! She is a great floor general with court vision well above her years. She got to the basket and showed off her floater.
Brooklynn Pelletier-Harding
Brooklynn Pelletier-Harding
Brooklynn ran the floor hard and came away with some easy buckets in transition. She also positioned herself to get some offensive boards and put-backs. She did a great job on the offensive end screening to get her teammates some open looks. As a small forward, she was able to protect the rim well and block shots. The thing that impressed me the most was her communication on transition defense which saved her team a couple of buckets.
Mariah Pringle
Mariah Pringle
Mariah was tough on the defensive end, constantly applying pressure. She takes the ball to the hoop aggressively and has good footwork once she gets there.
Elle Lorente
Elle Lorente
Elle Lorente can shoot the rock! She gets her shot off quickly and at 6′, she is a dangerous inside-out player. She was really doing it all for her team…scoring, blocking shots, getting offensive boards and put-backs, running the floor. I am really excited to watch her this winter at Eaton Rapids!
Harper Backus
Harper Backus
Harper is a solid Post player with good footwork and good hands around the basket. She knows how to seal of the defender to get position for her guards to get the ball into her. She had many offensive rebounds and put-backs and was an impressive rim protector.
Marissa Ainsworth
Marissa Ainsworth
I saw Marissa play with her school team last month and recognized her talent instantly. She will make every hustle play and has a motor that doesn’t stop. She finishes strong with both hands and demonstrated her range by hitting a couple of shots from behind the arc. I think she will be a nice edition for Coach Hudson at Wayland this Winter.
Caitlin Ryan
Caitlin Ryan
Caitlin was relentless on the defensive end of the floor and got her hands on the ball numerous times. She was also a player making hustle play after hustle play. She aggressively drove to the basketball and finished with a floater over taller defenders using both hands.
Allison “Allie” Crighton
Allison “Allie” Crighton
Allie is another lights out shooter, but she can do way more than just shoot! She is a great decision maker with the ball in her hands and has a tight handle. She also goes hard on the defensive end of the court and came away with multiple steals. She will be an impact freshman this Winter!
Sanyiah Blackwell
Sanyiah Blackwell
Sanyiah Blackwell is another freshman who will come on to the High School scene and make an impact right away! There wasn’t much she didn’t do at the Freshman Showcase. She is a strong lead guard with great ball-handling ability. She gets to the rim and finishes through contact with both hands. She can shoot the long ball and she is a great post-entry passer. She also rebounds well from her guard position. I look forward to following her for the next four years!
